Where you’ll be

Oak Harbor, Washington, United States

Quiet neighborhood. Not unusual to see black-tail deer, Douglas squirrels, townsend chipmunks, rabbits, 3 kinds of woodpeckers (hairy, pileated, downy), and lots of little birds, esp. towhees, chickadees and juncos. Passing overhead: occasional bald eagle and sometimes a prop plane (hobby airport nearby— which keeps the Navy growler jets from coming too close). Probably won’t see but might hear depending on the season: tree frogs, Canada geese, and owls (one sounds like a bellowing baby elephant— don’t be alarmed).

I live on a rural island in the Pacific Northwest (USA). I enjoy working in a busy public library, composing at the piano, practicing martial arts, singing in a community chorus, backpacking, kayaking, and cycling. I love to travel-- especially to places I've never been.

It has been a dream fulfilled to be able to offer my own space to guests. I hope you will love my little corner of this earth as much as I do.

A portion of the proceeds from your stay goes to help in the humanitarian efforts for Ukraine.
