Another great week at Janet's cozy cottage. Cool nights, sunny afternoons – a tranquilo and comodo place to come home to after a busy day in and around town. Drinks on the front porch listening to the crazy birds and then checking on emails and later a fire in the fireplace after dinner in town... Friendly waves from Marta and blooming fruit trees and green green lawn and garden.
The cottage was very spacious and quiet at night time. It got really cold at night time but we had the fire every night and there were enough blankets to keep us warm. We didn't see Janet during our stay but she was very helpful and quick in responding our queries/requests.
we loved staying at cosy cottage. the house is far enough away from the town to feel like you are in the country, but close enough to walk into the centre. janet has a lovely garden and offered us use of her herbs if we needed. we lit the fire every night as it was cold and there was plenty of dry firewood. the kitchen is small but adequate, tho the utensils and pots need an overhaul. the bath is heavenly and there is unlimited hot water. it was easy to communicate with janet before we arrived and she was very kind to give us a very early check -in. we would recommend cosy cottage to everyone!
Walkable location from the city center to end up in a piecefull and relaxing environment where a nice fire place will help you creating and even cosier environement for your stay in Chiappas. And of course, i had to mention Ginger the golden retriever :)
Perfect funky family getaway just outside of town.
Janet was a gracious host and was attentive to our needs. Thanks Janet!
Janet was a warm and welcoming host. The cottage is lovely and tranquil located at the back of a beautiful garden.
Janet's cottage was a very pleasant place to stay for my family--including 2 teenagers. It's about 1.1 miles to the central plaza, which can take about 15-20 minutes, depending on how well you're adjusting to the altitude. It can be chilly and damp in San Cristobal, but there were plenty of blankets to stay warm. The water throughout the house is purified--very nice if you've got kids who are not accustomed to travelling outside of the U.S. Marta, the caretaker, is absolutely wonderful!
