The fireplace works wonders and there is a real 4-burner gas stove. No electric heaters or electric appliances that heat are allowed as is a fire hazard and the electric bill goes sky high. If you need one, I can rent a safety appliance heater for US$6/day for the bedroom only which only covers the extra cost for electric. Winter nights especially around Xmas and New Year's until Feb or March can be cold reaching slightly just below freezing point with light frosts at night. However there are very adequate blankets provided all around; just be prepared. The house is warmer than outside.
