We are located on Sathu pradit 20 next to the church of St Joseph. There are many shops and markets nearby. Silom and the main tourist attractions and areas are 10 minutes away by taxi.
There are also pick up type buses that can be boarded anywhere on the street as well as a motorbike taxi stand on the other side of the street. Our location is in a traditional Bangkok area & there are many things of interest to see, more than just tourist sites. People watching, going to the Buddhist temple down the road that has a market every Friday or sitting down and having a coffee.
There;s plenty of street life and food stalls, This will give you a chance to see the real Bangkok.
I really enjoyed my stay here, Ms Wimonpak was very helpful. She gave us very useful information for transportation. I was able to email her and call and got an immediate response. Very good host she made us feel very welcome
Just perfect house for us. Wimonpak was really friendly and gave many tips what to do in Bangkok, and helped us to get next deatination. For us the location was good; authentic, peaceful and easy to get everywhere. Every taxi driver knew the location, just show Wimonpak's message and pin on a map to make shure.
This is great location if you want to experience a quieter side of Bangkok, but still have access to conveniences and easily get to the touristy areas. The apartment was clean and in a quiet location outside of the busy and touristy area of the city. There were a few 7/11s, many ATMs, lots of street food, and a massage place right nearby along our street. Transportation to the rest of the city was right at our street as well. It was cheap and came frequently, running late into the evening if you plan to stay out late!
Wimonpak made it easy to get to the apartment, as she gave us directions in Thai for the taxi driver and also was available for the driver to call for further direction. She met us at the apartment and answered our questions before we could even ask them- about getting a SIM card, how to get around Bangkok, etc. Wimonpak also arranged a taxi for us to bring us to the airport at the end of our stay.
Wonderful and amazing as last time. I feel at home at Michele's.
Can't wait to go back next year. Thank you for everything. It was lovely
we have been welcomed nicely by michelle. her good sense of organisation and her great availability made us find the place quite easily. not far from a bts station, you only have to take a short bus ride to the station. the appartment was clean and offered all the basics you need. very nice day light because of the patio door. thanks for accomodating us with the luggages too!
I never met Michelle but we communicated by e-mail and she was always quick to reply to my questions. However, somehow it doesn't seem customary to welcome guests personally as it has almost always been the case during my previous airbnb-stays in different countries. But no problem, just stating this as airbnb does ask this question about the welcome.
The room was exactly as shown in the pictures and I felt very much at home there. It was clean, functional and pretty quiet for a bustling city like Bangkok.
The building is located in what I would call a Thai neighbourhood which is great if you want to get away from too touristy places and avoid all the attention there. It is a very private place in a very good way.
Unless you take taxis or tuk-tuks, you need to get a songthaew to get to the nearest BTS-station (Saphan Taksin). The cost is 7 Baht and it probably takes 15 mins. Going is very easy as the "songthaew" is usually empty but coming back, especially during rush hour it might be hard to get a seat, so either wait, try to catch the songthaew a bit before it gets to the BTS-station or take a taxi which I did once - cost was 80 Baht.
From the train station and to the train station (Hua Lamphong) I paid close to a 100 Baht both times but we always got stuck in heavy traffic. Once you reach the BTS, everything is pretty much within your reach.
There are food places nearby, but more market style or some fast food ones farther down the road. A 7-eleven is just across the street.
WiFi, aircon, hot water, it all worked well. The bed was very comfortable, definitely not as hard as many Thai hotel beds.

Wimonpak Prapasrianan, this is my very long Thai name. I also have nick name, Meow or Michelle.
I was born in Bangkok, lived & studied in Bangkok in my early years. My teenage years were spent in London, where I did my studies in Business.
During this period of my life I took a great interest in travel, that I still have, too this day.
I have traveled to many countries in Europe & Asia & wish to travel to many more as well as more exotic destinations like , Africa, South America & hopefully this year Australia.
Each country has taught me valuable lessons about what it means to be friendly, give & receive hospitality
& look after my fellow travellers.
I hope to welcome you to my studio apartments & will happily help you with any travel queries or
arrangements that you need to make. Thanks You. Michelle.
