Liz and her daughter are so great that I came back! That definitely should say something about how awesome of hosts they are.
My daughter and I are in between apartment moves, and our temporary housing with Liz was our first AirBNB experience. She and her daughter are wonderful hosts, the apartment is very nice, so we had a very positive experience. Now I feel a lot more comfortable staying with new people while in NYC or on future vacations. I'm even considering being an AirBNB host when we're settled in at our new place.
To add to the chorus of wonderful reviews, Liz and her awesome daughter were wonderful to live with. I very much enjoyed my time with them and would highly recommend this listing to anyone looking to come to the city, whether it be for a long weekend or a few months. The space is super clean and very spacious with great lighting during the day. Plus it's super close to the F train.
Liz and her daughter were very welcoming, really nice to stay in their lovely flat. Also, really close to the F train into Manhattan, which was handy. Thanks for your hospitality!
I had a very nice stay at Liz's place! I stayed in the apartment for two weeks and felt like staying at home. The room (separated from the living room by a curtain) is large, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. You get some nice sunshine during the first half of the day and a large radiator will keep you warm during winter. The radiator can sometimes be a bit noisy when starting up in the morning, but that should not be a problem if you have some earplugs with you or you are getting up early. Besides that, the atmosphere is in the apartment is very nice and homey. Liz is very well read and always good for an interesting chit-chat. In sum, I can totally recommend her place!
Liz made my trip even greater than I ever imagined!
Great place, big room, clean kitchen and bathroom. The apartement is very well situated, five minutes on feet from the train station and the neighborhood is safe (I walked back alone until 11pm and I never had any trouble).
Liz is a great host, she will do everything to make your stay comfortable. And she is an amazing newyorker! She knows every street on town and she will give you very interesting tips on where to go and what to see.
Thanks again Liz for making this trip an unforgetable experience!
It is a wonderful place to stay. The space is great, you get privacy and as well she is always nice and open to chat a little bit or have dinner with you.
Really close to the subway and very quiet neighborhood. I stayed 20 days in her house and I had a great time.
I stayed with Liz for a few weeks until I found an apartment to move into in Brooklyn. Her hostility was top notch, she's incredibly friendly and nice to chat with, quite helpful when it comes to tips about living or traveling in New York. The room was comfortable with a good amount of space and all the windows definitely made things more enjoyable. The apartment is a ways out, for the amount of time I stayed with her it got to be a bit of a hassle, especially when getting back late at night. But aside from that, Kensington, the neighborhood it's in is beautiful. It was really nice to be so close to Prospect Park. Overall my stay with Liz made for a great transition in moving to New York.
I really enjoyed my time with Liz. She was really friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the room was super comfortable. It is a little bit further out than some other places (give yourself about half an hour to get into Manhattan) but that is more than made up for by having a heap more space to yourself and some beautiful natural light filling the room! I'd been staying in a tiny room in the East Village prior to coming so it was a breathe of fresh air to have these things. As a little bonus, there's also a piano for anyone musically inclined. :)
Her place was really amazing with nice person characters, arts, cozy atmosphere, birds and grate taste coffee. Although nearby station line F is not so grate as it's only local and sometimes delay, still cozy time at home makes you retreat and find interesting things.
Liz is super kind and bright woman, I wanted to stay and talk more with her.
