Bernard and Faby were beautiful host I would recommend the place to everybody. The garden is lovely the surrounding just perfect. The house is centrally located in a very authentic neighborhood. It is nice for people how want to explore not only Marrakesch but also the near Atlas. I made a trip with Bernard and Faby to Imlil which was just beautiful. My son and I enjoyed every single minute. The price they are asking for daytrips is very very fair. They both picked us up from the airport and we straight went to Carrefour for shopping. This was great because the choice in the village I very limited. Ones we were arrived they made us feel home all the time. thanks for everything and I hope we can come back as soon as possible.

Bernard and his wife Fabian were great hosts. They are available for anything you want. The room is nice, a bit pricy though. Clean and tidy with all amenities available. The house is next to a play yard where locals are playing football so it might be noisy. We found one cockroach and dealt with it :) The hosts provide us with a breakfast for extra charge (50 mad per person) but it was worth it. Excellent breakfast. I think cockroach and the noise could be solved so apart from this, we did enjoy our stay with this nice couple. Thank you for having us.

We spent some very nice and pleasant days at the The Painter's House in the beginning of our holidays in Morroco. We were two adults and two teenagers in the small apartment. Bernard came to pick us up at the Menara Airport, and before we headed to his house in Aghmat he showed us the Menara Gardens and we had the chance to buy food and water at the big Carrefour in Marrakech. In Aghmat we had a short visit at the ruins of the old Hammam before going to the air bnb. The two teenagers slept in the big room with the kitchen and the television, and the adults slept in the bedroom. It rained a lot while we were there. The apartment is not big, it is a bit dark, but all in all comfortable. We would have enjoyed staying more outside in the yard, but due to bad weather we could not. Bernard and Faby did all they possibly could in order to make us feel at home - concerning heating, food and what ever wishes we had. They were very helpful and caring. We had dinner with them one night and it was really cozy and also interesting talking about Morroco and their life in the country. Bernard speaks English very well and is very knowingly, and we did the small tour with him in his car. He showed us Le Paradis du Safran, the Ourika Valley and the Kasbah Bab Ourika. We had a partly wet but great day with Bernard, who shares his experiences and knowledge about the area. After we left The Painter's House in Aghmat to to stay at another air bnb in Marrakech one of us did the big tour with Bernard. And the two of us had a great day driving around in the Atlas visiting interesting places and meeting friendly people one the road. We can recommend going on at least of these tours with Bernard. You will not regret this and it is absolutely on the plus side.

Staying with Bernard and Fabey was like staying with family. We were instantly welcomed, comfortable and relaxed by the quiet natural garden. Our dog Lord Nelson, enjoyed the garden as well, and loved having a friend to play with Ida (spelling?). Bernard provided a most unique experience from his expert knowledge of the culture, area and personal relationship's with other local Artists. A professional tour guide was no match for Bernard, as he shared a trip to Ourika, salt mines, restaurants, other artists' shops, and an invitation to an art gallery opening with fabulous elephant, bull, camel statues, along with some of his own pieces. Fabey prepared some of the most spectacle meals of local cuisine with a French flair. Being in a bit of culture shock, after seeing chopped goat heads and smells of the local market, Fabey prepared some of the most delicious vegetarian dishes I have had the pleasure of tasting. I might have starved if it were not for her cooking. I would highly recommend a stay at this Painter's house!

Our time at 'The Painters House ' was delightful, a perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day. Bernard and Faby were wonderful hosts. We took advantage of the full day tour up to the mountains offered by Bernard and it was amazing, wonderful scenery, stopping off for lunch in a local cafe, seeing so much or the stunning country we'd never thought possible. So much better than merely following the convoy of tourist vehicles. Thanks to Bernard's local connections we were able to visit the site of an archaeological dig when it was supposed to be closed. it was outstanding and a true history lesson, learning that the small village we were staying in used to be the capitol of Morocco. Bernard and Faby could not have been more helpful , they answered any questions we had, helped us navigate the market which on first glance could seen as intimidating to some, and even gave us a lift to our Marrakesh accommodation to continue our holiday. The village of Aghmat is just that, a village, so don't expect mad nightlife or a party town but as a place to soak up the reality of a country rather than a walled off tourist trap, its perfect.

Great start but ended not so well, The room and gardens was fantastic and offered great value for money. Dinners were very expensive but very good quality. The town location is a very quiet one and offers no restaurants or much to see so I would not suggest going for more than a couple of days. Bernards small tour offered a great insight to the local area, walks through secluded villages, archaeological sites, salt filters, and a fantastic 5*star hotel for tea. Unfortunately his big tour was more of just a drive (around 7 hours in the car) through the mountains and not suited to munication meant we were not aware of what we had paid for. We stayed four nights but 2 would have been ample for the holiday we had in mind.

We felt very welcome and had 2 really beautiful days staying at Bernard's home. Bernard took the time and effort to show us around the area and we visited some amazing places we would probably never have seen would we have been on our own. It is a beautiful place to stay so we can only recommend it.
