You will be staying in a cozy bedroom with a single bed, an armchair, and a desk (with lots of reading material :)).
You will have access to a kitchen, bathroom, dining and living room (complete with 42" TV and sorround system in case Geneva weather gets the best of you and your plans :)) as well as free internet.
There are two buses going downtown, to the train station, the international organizations and the airport (Bus #5 & 25) and a tram (#12) available a two minute walk away.
The apartment is situated in the heart of Geneva and is a 10 minute walk from the lakeside (great for walking, sailing, water biking, getting wet under the famous Geneva fountain..) and a 10 minute walk from the main shopping district.
There are also several ammenities nearby such as bakeries for your morning (or afternoon, or evening ;)) coffee and pastries, supermarkets (even one that stays open late and is open on Sundays!), the Museum of Natural History, sinagogues, the historic Old Town and much, much more.
A couple of points:
- no smoking (I'm on the ground floor so it's easy to walk out)
- no shoes (I will provide you with slippers or you can bring your own)
- leave everything as you found it (this applies in particular to the kitchen)
- no pets
This was my second stay with Rita. She was the best host I could hope for, once again going beyond her duties. Especially when my luggage was lost, she was a big support - she called the airlines and followed it up for me. I could not have gone through the day without her support.
Her house is also very clean and tidy. I will definitely stay with her next time again.
This was my first experience with Airbnb and I was a bit apprehensive about sharing a house with someone else. However, Rita embodies the perfect balance between caring about her guests and understanding the need for privacy.
Rita's flat is really tiny, but spotlessly clean. The room has everything you need, working desk, WiFi connection, wardrobe, bathrobe, slippers, ... Breakfast was OK.
The flat is really close to the Old Town (10-15 min on foot) and has a bus stop (Line 5) to the Airport nearby. The street can be busy.
Rita is a great host and her place is an excellent apartment in an convenient location.
I stayed in Rita's apartment for 5 days. She was a great host - going way beyond her duties and helping out with all my questions - inquiries etc. The house was clean and neat - exactly like in the photos. I felt quiet like at home and very comfortable. I'd definitely stay with Rita next time I go to Geneva again. Thanks Rita!
Rita was a very conscientious hostess. She goes out of her way to ensure her guest feels comfortable. She even felt very bad that she had a long time childhood friend in town over to the house for one evening while I was there. I do not expect anyone to put their life on hold just to make me feel comfortable. For you future potential guests coming into Geneva, Rita will make sure you feel comfortable.
My experience in Geneve was pretty nice. Rita is a smart, calm and awesome person. She showed me all around, helped with tips of where to go, maps and stuff like that.
Her place is clean, really really cozy and easy to get around. Close to everything. By bus or walking, you can get everywhere very easily.
She also made a really good breakfast, it was a perfect to start the day :)
Staying with her made my experience much more interesting.
I strongly recommend her and her place.
This was a great place to stay. A charming and generous host, comfortable bed, desk space and wifi. On the bus route to the airport and Palais des Nations as well. It worked perfectly for me.
