The Space

10 mins walk to USC(less than 1 mile)
Pivot to go West/ East LA, there're bus stops and I-10/I-110 nearby. Less than 3 miles to go to Korea Town, 5 miles to Hollywood, 10-15 miles to LAX/ UCLA.

There are one full size bed,TV, desk and chair, and closet in the room, plus free Wi-Fi.

You will share the restroom with the person in the other room. But if only you booked the room, then no one will share the bathroom. Kitchen is also available any time, where includes refrigerator, microwave, and oven.

BTW, our maximum accommodation is 8 people. Two people in each room, and two more people can sleep in the living room with a comfortable queen size sofa bed, and one mat can be put in living room or one of rooms, but 8 people only accepted when you book two rooms together with the same days. Please feel free to ask us your request, and hope we can work it out.

Pick up and drop off is also available, but need to be scheduled in advance (Usually after 7pm in the weekday, flexible in the weekend). Please feel free to ask.

for example,
from Union Station/Greyhound line = $ 30
from LAX/Universal Studio = $ 40
from Disney $ 60

It's a wonderful place for short-term visitors, scholars, visiting relatives/ friends and backpackers to stay.

Thank you very much

  • Chia-An was a gracious host, although my girlfriend and I felt uncomfortable during our stay. The space is quite tight and messy. It was difficult to tell if the space (especially the bathrooms) were clean. For these reasons, we chose to look for another place to stay after our first night. Chia-An was very understanding when I told him, and reimbursed me for one night's stay. I appreciate the effort he made, but I would choose alternate arrangements in the future.

  • My friends and I were in LA for the first time. This place was the best location for its price. I didn't get to interact much with the hosts, but we also weren't there much. They were extremely helpful in messaging.
Thanks again for all your help and very good price!

    I would stay here again.

  • The space was just as cramped as it looked (to be expected). We were just glad to find something so affordable for three people in L.A. The hosts were very friendly and flexible.

  • Giant and Emy were very amicable hosts. As others have pointed out, it's a good place if you are out-and-about and only looking for a place to stay. Expect the possibility of many guests sharing a rather small space. Overall, the place has good value but do expect the accommodation to be reflected through the price.

  • They was very kind and helpfull.
If I ever came to LA again I would like to write to them again.

  • Simply put: you will share the apartment of a young and very nice couple who have limited resources and do their best for you. We had a family of 6--ranging from 13-to mid-60s-- looking for inexpensive commencement digs near USCand their attitude and cordiality made a simple and crowded place liveable. This is not a romantic getaway and the neighborhood is entertainingly diverse if rundown. Pretty good local food within walking distance on Vermont. Chi-An and Emma are good people.

  • Giant was cordial and understanding, but I cannot recommend their place. Yes, the room was clean, clean sheets too, but there is one window you cannot open( I did open it to get some fresh air as it was very warm and stuffy) because the upstairs neighbor has his main stairs over it. It is loud, with steps going up and down. Someone uses the nook outside under the stairs where the window is to get drunk or something similar while cursing and banging against the window at 10pm was scary. The window has only vertical blinds that hang so it was even worse as it felt like they could look in. Giant gave me a fan and closed the window when I complained , but we had no fresh air because we wanted the door closed. It was not pleasant given that it is a ver small room. We turned off the light and tried to sleep.
What made it worse was the shared bathroom, not necessarily a problem for us, but it was dirty. Walking into the moldy, dirty shower was disgusting and I was scared for my healthy feet.
After a bad night sleep we left early in the morning to try to find a place to stay and came back for our things at 4pm. We could not bear to stay for our second or third night- Giant did refund us for the 3rd night and apologized by text when he heard we were not returning.

  • Giant and Amy are a nice couple, and their apartment is quite comfortable and chill. Giant is happy to help you navigate the neighborhood--there are some nice cheap restaurants nearby--and the room is clean and the shower is warm and powerful, which I always appreciate while traveling. The upstairs neighbors can be a bit noisy at times, but not at night. All in all, a great place to stay!

  • The accommodations are basic, very basic. The room and bathroom were reasonably clean. Parking is a challenge. The neighborhood is not the best and we did have some police activity to deal with on our second night. The hosts are very, very kind, cheerful people and made us feel welcome. Their communications were fast and friendly during the reservation process.

  • This was an excellent place to stay. The hosts were very friendly making our stay very enjoyable. The area was uncongested and there was parking which was great. We were able to use the kitchen which was a nice plus. I would definitely stay there again.
