We loved our stay at the Spencer House! It felt like we were the only ones in the entire place. Very quiet. The bed was like a cloud and I love how it was decorated! The room was very clean and I loved the scents of the hair care and body wash. This was our first experience in a "shared space" airbnb and has opened our eyes to wanting to do it this way again! Very close walkable distance to Panhandle park which flows into Golden Gate Park. Cami and Carol were so friendly and it was lovely to talk with them!!!! We would recommend the Spencer House to anyone we know visiting San Francisco.
Cami and Carol were very welcoming and they try to make sure you feel comfortable in their home. They responded very quickly to my inquiries and helped me out with things I've forgotten back home. I'm very grateful that they were flexible with the checkout time.
The house is so lovely and I've never seen anything like it. The details they've put there from the exterior of the house to the fireplaces to the copper pans and pots in the kitchen give the house a very Victorian feel.
I had the garden room and it had a bed half my height with the most comfortable mattress and sheets. Towels and toiletries were provided.
The location was perfect. I walked to the Golden Gate Park and walked downtown as well. It's not close but if you prefer not to walk bus 7 stops right in front of the house. It is on top of a hill though so if you have baggage better to get a ride there. It's a couple blocks from Haight-Ashbury on one side and I walked down to the Mission district too. Just very accessible but provides you with the quiet you need at night.
Thank you so much again for the experience and hope to come back someday :)
I've heard many great things about the Spencer House and it's safe to say that it exceeded all my expectations. Cami and Carol are fantastic hosts and very welcoming. The room was so comfortable I could have happily not left the whole trip! Would definitely recommend staying here.
A truly unique experience of the city of San Francisco! I have visited the city for years but this trip was unlike any other. Not only is the Spencer house a beautiful treasure, in a great location, with clean comfy beds, but the owner Cami is a fantastic host. She is young, fun, and really cool--she seems to know everyone! Staying in this beautiful home with lovely company was a truly unforgettable experience.
Cami and Carol have a spectacular house. The room and house are just as it is described. I was impressed by the beauty of the interior design and furniture. It is almost like a museum.
Cami and Carol were of great help during my stay. I had everything I needed. They (and the cats) were very friendly and made the experience feel like home.
The parking was a little tricky at first because I needed to park on a hill. Later Cami let me park in front of the garage which made it much easier.
The house is located near a little park and pretty close to Height-Ashbury (hippie district). So there are a lot to see in walking distance. Also great food in walking distance. Personally recommend Nopa.
Overall, one of my best airbnb experience. Thank you Cami and Carol!

About the Host, Cami And Carol
Cami: As a model, I've been traveling around the world for the past 10 years and as of lately have been spending more time between NYC and SF. I love good food, good wine and good sake, maybe the reason I stick around these two cities. As a host I really try to make sure my guests have a memorable and fun time. And because good food and wine are my obsession, sharing is imperative!
Carol: Graphic designer and artist, living in SF since 2010, but still discovering things all over the city and eager to share my findings! I love showing our guests the best in our neighborhood and the city (and good surf spots for beginners!).
Ever since we started hosting at the Spencer House it has been our pleasure to share one of the most beautiful Queen Anne Victorian houses in San Francisco and at the same time meeting the most fantastic people!
mid priced groceries, excellent quality. Good selection of wine.Broderick St San Francisco California 94117
Excellent beer made on the premises. As for the food, solid bar fare. The devils on horseback, the scrapple and the duck crepinette are highly recommended.Haight Street San Francisco CA 94117
Sightglass Coffee, cant be beat. My #1 breakfast choice. I crave their grilled cheese sandwich (with a slice of tomato...). They have wifi too.Mcallister St San Francisco CA 94115-4318
