Homemade breakfast in a unique atmosphere, your own professional guide & a spectacular view to northern light, sea and mountains!

The space

Welcome to our beautiful and historical house in the arctic, with a unique atmosphere and a fantastic view !
This is a truly unique space and is ideally suited to singles or couples with an adventurous and romantic spirit . . .This is a fairly relaxed space with wooden floors and very high ceilings.
I am happy for guests who make themselves at home.

Our guests love the splendid home-made breakfast, served in the family dining room, or on the lovely terrace in the summer.

This is the best place to live in Tromsø. We are suspended high above the city with a lovely view. Town center is completely walk able and on the weekends it’s remarkably quiet here for such a central location.
The house is close to restaurants, museums, mountains and sea. Bus routes close by.

We offer 2 bedrooms, 4 comfortable sleeps, with white linens and your own bathroom. Look up the other listing at Airbnb!

Tromsø has an amazing northern light from October to the end of March, and wonderful midnight sun from June to August. Our garden is a great spot for the northern light.

A professional tour guide, living in the house, can take you on northern light tours, mountain hiking and fishing.

I usually try to meet and greet my guests, but sometimes I am out of the city. Then I have to arrange with a friend to welcome you.

It is my home however and I would kindly ask my guests to respect this and treat it well if I am not there. Thank you!

Lovely in all seasons!

Ane Marie was an incredible host and I would love to stay at her house again! The house itself is just as presented in the pictures - beautiful with amazing views out over the city. Ane Marie was very pleasant to chat with and extremely hospitable - from recommendations of what to do to her wonderful breakfasts, she was a pleasure to stay with. I'd highly recommend that anyone traveling to Tromso stay with Ane Marie!

Ane Marie was very welcoming and she provided a helpful 'what-to-do in Tromso' cheat sheet. Her house is very clean and pretty. It is well situated to walking downtown...5 min walk to most major places downtown. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay just outside of downtown Tromso.

Had a wonderful time at Ane Marie's! The location and one of the rooms offers a wonderful view of town from above. The room though small is very comfortable & cozy. Ane Marie is very welcoming and extremely helpful and provided her own list of locations to visit and things to do in Tromso. Her breakfasts were delicious, I particularly enjoyed the one on my birthday :) All arrangements were easy to make with Ane Marie, I highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay with Anne Marie in Tromso. The apartment is beautifully decorated. The house has a fantastic view of downtown Tromso and the water. Anne Marie provides a very nice breakfast for a reasonable fee upon request. She and her family were very welcoming and provided lots of helpful tips about the activities and sights in the area. I highly recommend travelers consider a stay with Anne Marie and her family.

After staying at Ane Marie's place, I can honestly say I experienced Trømso as a local. The delicious home made breakfast, to the freshly waxed cross country skis by her husband( complete with traditional Norwegian provisions for the trip) to the amazing view of downtown and mountains from the front porch, to the recommendations in town. Everything was perfect.

Ane Marie was extremely welcoming and thorough in her recommendations. She modestly described her breakfast and when my friend and I opened the dining room door, a beautiful spread was lovingly laid out for us. Even when she was running late, she made three separate announcements to us about things we could do that day. In other words, she was sincerely concerned about making our stay the best one possible. The room and bathroom were cozy and the location was convenient and scenic. She also sat down with us on our last day to ask for feedback about how she could improve her offerings for future guests. It was a spectacular week in Tromso and I would eagerly sign-up to go back and see the Aurora from Ane Marie's again!

''This is a lovely traditional house. It is close to the city centre easy walking but any visitor needs to be aware that it is up a fairly steep hill. We chose for its central location and it was a good decision. If you get puffed climbing hills then perhaps it wouldn't suit. Most of Tromso is built up on the hill above the flat sea level area so the comment probably applies to a few properties.

I am norwegian. I am working at the University in the arctic north of Norway. I have an international job, so I travel quite a lot. I love art, jazz music and enjoy to ski and sylke. I am open, quiet, and entusiastic about meeting new people and see new places around the world.

I speak well english, although my language is norwegian.
