The apartment was clean and nicely equipped. The kitchen has no dishwasher and lacks of some stuff for cooking (e.g. knives).
One problem was that we had several power-lacks during our stay there although we didn't really use many electrical devices. Our contact person Francesco was a really nice and helpful guy - unfortunately he didn't speak any English, which made it sometimes pretty difficult to communicate.
All in all we still had a great stay and I can recommend the ap.
Lets start out with the good: the apartment is beautiful and spacious. We only had 4 staying there, but could have easily had more. The air conditioning kept us cool in the 95+F degree heat. The apartment was located near a small strip filled with great restaurants and bars. The host is not actually in Italy, so she has some intermediaries that you work through, but they were all very nice and helpful. (especially Mr. Convertino)
The bad: There was pretty regular power outages for the entire first day we were there. The power was off more than it was on during our time in the apartment (we were not there all day though). The second day it got better, there were still a couple very short outages. The power outage also caused a problem with one of the bathrooms. The one bathroom has some sort of an electrical flush system that wasn't explained to us, after using the toilet with the power out the flush system overflowed and the bathroom smelled awful. We cleaned up the water as best as we could but the smell kept us from using the bathroom at all for the rest of the stay.
We loved Rome and staying in the motr residential area of the city. We had a comfortable amount of space for all 8 of us and loved the balcony lookinf over the city. We appreciated how helpful the building manager, Francisco, was upon arrival and when we had any questions. The only air conditioning was in the bedrooms and if you have them running for too long, you may lose power as we experienced. Definitely visit the small convince store/cafe next door to the building... The owner is so kind and friendly! About a 15 minute cab ride from the city.
Absolutely amazing apartment! It is all there as described and on the photos.
Tatiana is very helpfull and will respond to every question within 30min.
Neighborhood is quiet, so you can have a nice rest after full day of sightseeing.
You are literally 2 min away from Pigneto metro station, which will soon connect to St. Giovanni metro station, in other words downtown Rome. There is an osteria (restaurant), fruit shop and a supermarket as well.
For party lovers, 10 min walking will get you to a street full of bars where you can taste some delicious wine.
This was a nice apartment. The few issues we had were, the shower door in the main bath needs repair. The shower curtain shown in the ad would be much better. No soap is provided. There is a wash machine, but no cloths pins to hang your cloths out to dry. The worst part of this apartment is the location. It is much too FAR from EVERYTHING! The minimum bus ride to see the sites is 40 minutes. Francisco, who let us in and arranged a cab to the airport was very nice and helpful.
Julia's apartment was just as advertised! Frances was ready and waiting as we arrived and showed us directly to the apartment. Frances even helped us find somewhere to eat the first night as we arrived late.
There were 8 of us and we all stayed comfortably in her apartment.
Access to public transportation was great, about 2 blocks away you get on the tram or bus and get to the main Rome sites very quickly.
There was a great little coffee shop (Caffe Berardo) just at the end of the next block where we had breakfast a couple of days.
Great Location and apartment very nice and clean. Host very helpful. Mr Francis very helpful and friendly during our stay. Helped us organise Taxi's and bring our luggage down stairs on departure. A great weekend away!
