Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
This treehouse, the Birds Nest, is open May-Oct. Our “4-Season Treehouse @ Bliss Ridge,” is open year-round: https://www.airbnb.com/h/bigtreehouseatblissridgefarm — NEW SAUNA on property! Dr. Seuss-inspired tree home perched @top of 88-acre, organic hill farm, surrounded by 1000s acres of wilderness. Designed by B'fer Roth, DIY network host of The Treehouse Guys - an authentic treehouse built WITHIN living trees, not stilts! Private hiking & panoramic views of Worcester range, MR valley!

The space
**Please do not bring plastic water bottles or firewood - we provide fire wood and fresh, filtered, mountain spring water from the property**

This treehouse, “The Bird’s Nest” is one of two treehouses on Bliss Ridge Farm. The other treehouse “The Big Treehouse” is open year-round (insulated). https://www.airbnb.com/h/bigtreehouseatblissridgefarm

The treehouse is nestled in the edge of the woods at the top of the farm’s hay fields. Enjoy seclusion and incredible views, hiking, and quietude. There is a spring-fed pond available for swimming nearer to the farmhouse and farm events and dinners can be arranged.

The indoor space:
the queen bed, fold-out sofa, kitchen, living, bathroom, and patio with hammock, are all part of the main floor. It is an intimate space as depicted in the photographs. The photos are accurate, no wide angle lenses used. There are two (10ft) lofts above; one with a double bed and one with a twin. The "bedrooms" are not closed off from one-another - see photos. The house is built within the trees, which move and creak subtly if it is windy. New for 2023 - septic system in place, with a normal, residential flush toilet. The shower is a hot (outdoor) shower on the front porch, with a curtain.

*Important Information Regarding The Treehouse at Bliss Ridge Farm*
We would like for you to understand a few important facts before you arrive...Being a tree house guest has its benefits and its limitations.
Building and caring for a treehouse in nature was a labor of love and not an easy endeavor. We hope that you will appreciate how special it is, enjoy the majesty of mother nature and at the same time understand its limitations and respect our operating instructions. There is an explicit information sheet when you get here but we want you to be prepared ahead of time.
There is no regular 110 electricity, but there is a solar panel to provide you with lights and cell phone charging. Please note that cell phone service is limited to texting and sometimes a phone call, depending on your service and vintage of phone... (iphone on ATT usually works but I wouldn't rely on it for an important business meeting, but there is wifi right in town or ask Jordan & Dan if you need to use it near the house / barn).
There is a new septic system in place so for returning guests (no more composting toilet).
There is hot and cold water at the kitchen sink, and a hot outside shower.
Because the treehouse is in the woods, nature will take over when it can, i.e. a Vermont characteristic is that mice may come in in the fall to try and nest in warm places :( We do our best to deter this but we do not use poison that kills owls and other wildlife. We hope that you do not leave food around to entice rodents and we monitor mouse traps so you will not have to deal with those!
Rain water occasionally may come down the large inside tree if it is windy and raining hard. We provide towels to put on the floor around the tree if this happens. (It stays in a small area around the tree)
If you have small children, we trust that you will take responsibility for them. Please monitor them on the loft stairs, and contain food to the dining tables and deck / campfire area. Being mindful will help prevent mice, ants, and bugs and it will help us to keep the treehouse clean and smelling fresh.
We have an organic farm and respect nature and do not want to be wasteful. We hope that you will divide your garbage into recycling, trash, and compost (receptacles are clearly marked on the bridge) and please do not bring plastic water bottles onto the property. Our water is the best we have ever tasted - Filtered, gravity-fed, Mountain spring water.
No smoking in the treehouse or on the decks please.
We wish you a wonderful, adventurous experience. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 88 acre farm and grounds as well as thousands of acres of wilderness!

Other things to note
***we supply fresh, tested spring water! Please do not bring plastic water bottles! (Please do not buy or use plastic water bottles at all - they are ruining the earth!)

**We will open the calendar soon! Our season runs between late April and late October.
