Although our stay at Colvin Meadows was short, (an overnighter) it was indeed sweet! Dorothy was super accessible and her response time was immediate! She have us specific and thorough directions to her place and left some neighbourhood tips and places to eat and shop nearby. We were in Buffalo for a concert so she also helped us with figuring out how to get to the venue.
Her apartment was clean, comfortable and convenient, and was well-stocked with everything you need. She even have us a bit of a deal on a one-night stay( her policy is 2- nights min) which was greatly appreciated. The bonus was parking on-site! I would stay there again and would highly recommend Dorothy as an amazing Air B n B host.
Dorothy is a great (website hidden) is cozy and comfortable. I was there in the Buffalo heat wave and Dorothy had put the AC on so it was cool and comfortable when i arrived late at night. Dorothy also was so kind as to pick up a few items at the grocery store for me so i had breakfast in the morning.
Location is great for everything one would want to do in thr greater Buffalo area.
I will stay here next time i go back to Buffalo
We were in Buffalo to attend our EMBA graduation ceremony at the University at Buffalo. Dorothy's apartment is just 15 minutes drive to the campus. In fact, it is about 15 to 20 minutes' drive to most attractions, via the freeways.
When we rolled up, we were delighted to discover a quaint apartment, which is really a two storey house with a basement. We had a very comfortable time in the apartment. Dorothy provide cable tv, a laundry area in the basement, and so many clean bath and bed linen she could open a store! The neighbourhood is safe, quiet, typical American suburbia. It was a bonus meeting Dorothy on my second last day in Buffalo. She is friendly, warm and funny. I highly recommend Dorothy's apartments in Colvin Meadows for anyone who truly wants to experience the home away from home vacation!
Dorothy was fantastic! I had rented her apartment for my family who was in town for my graduation this past weekend, and Dorothy made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. My parents loved it! Place was very clean, beds were comfortable. Only downside is that we didn't realize it was right next to the railroad tracks, so the trains at night kinda caught us off guard, but the parentals said they got use to it and it was fine. Thanks for everything Dorothy!
Dorothy maintains a good house, well supplied with the basics (pots, pans, etc.) for folks that like to cook too. Dorothy was great to talk with the day I arrived in Buffalo. All her local knowledge is a bonus. Most important - my daughters felt comfortable there right away. A good place and a good person to meet.
Dorothy is very accommodating and the apartments are very comfortable! Thanks again for a great stay:)
Nice, clean en well equipped apartment, high speed Internet !
We had an amazing stay here. We were in town visiting family for a wedding and this was the perfect place for our base of operations. This place is convenient to Niagara Falls, Downtown, and the Buffalo Zoo. Dorothy was a fantastic hostess with lots of wonderful suggestions about where to eat and what to do while in Buffalo. The place is clean and cozy and has all the amenities we were looking for, plus some. The house is stocked with plenty clean linens and the kitchen has all you need to make any meals at the house. Dorothy even provided a baby gate for the stairs for our 1-year-old daughter. When we come to visit family in Buffalo we will definitely stay here again.
Heartfelt thanks to Dorothy for providing a clean and cozy place for my family to meet in Buffalo. Please note that we were actually in the left apartment for mutually agreeable reasons, and that is the side here reviewed. We were not able to meet Dorothy personally on this trip, but she was easily reached and responsive through texting. The home is in a pleasant neighborhood convenient to whatever amenities might be needed, and has authentic Americana ambiance. The "fifth star" is missing only because the stairs are on the steep side and the mattresses on the soft side, and potential visitors with limited mobility might want to be aware of that ahead of time. Train buffs, this is your lodging, with plenty of memorabilia inside and the real McCoy outside. When I made this reservation, I was looking for a "home away from home," and that is what we found. Thanks again, Dorothy!
