  • My husband and I loved the location. The room was a perfect size. We had an extremely comfortable stay in Ara's cozy apartment.

  • We had a wonderful stay there. The apartment was very cosy and it felt like home to us. It was located near the subway station and it was very convenient for us to go anywhere we want.

We are also very thankful for Ara's help as we met with some difficulties while we were there but she managed to assist and resolve our issues within a short period of time. =)

I must say this is one of the best apartment that I have rented in Korea and I will definitely recommend it to the other travelers.

  • It was exactly as advertised. The place was cozy and in a good location. It had a lot of amenities (probably more than what you would need for a short stay), and Ara was available to answer questions. I would definitely consider staying at her place again.

  • Overall, this house stay comfortable, well-equipped, clean and quiet. And also very convenient location, close to towncenter, spend about 10-15 minutes to Hongik University Station by foot.

  • Just as promised. This was an excellent, Korean style apartment in the heart of Hongdae. Ara was very attentive. Close to the subway system and therefore convenient to everything. Take the airport express from Incheon or Gimpo to get there...then a 5 minute walk. Great restaurants and clubs and cafes surround you. Don't miss the trick eye museum for a fun day. Apartment has everything you need! And visit the Seoul history museum too!

  • The location is fabulous. There are plenty of shops and food options nearby from a low to medium pricepoint. And the subway is a 5 minute walk.

The apartment is cute and cozy. It comfortably fit the two of us. A third guest would be on the couch. There are stairs but it's good work out. Promise. Amenities are provided for - toiletries, hair dryer, guidebooks, wifi, etc.

And the host is a pro. When I had to re-arrange my dates slightly last minute, she promptly gave me a refund. I think I was most impressed by the swift transaction. Would stay here again.

  • Ara's place is centrally located but far enough away from the bars / bbq places of Hongdae. There are some nice cafes in the area for those travelers that want to study or have some quiet time.

The apartment is small and well worn. In particular, the bathroom is in need of new tile and a better sink drain. Also there is pretty poor ventilation in the apartment (and if you stay longer than a few days it will become pretty dusty). If location is more important than this place is perfect for you.

Ara is a very responsive host and nice. She made sure we were comfortable and suggested restaurants and cafes in the area.

  • Great little apartment - very very convenient, 3 mins walk to subway line 2 and AREX. Line 2 is super convenient - no need to change train to palaces, shopping, myeongdong, dongdaemun, namdaemun etc.
Hongdae is a food and party haven. We had no issues finding great street food, korean bbq, Italian, Japanese, kimchi dumpling, starbucks, Paris baugette, convenience stores, supermarket within 5 min walk of the apartment.
Apartment is also well equiped, Wifi, TV, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, stove, pots, pans, shampoo, conditioner, body wash - you name it .. although an oven toaster instead of toaster would have been nice for toasting baguettes, muffins, crossiants. There is a queen bed, sofa bed and sofa - which fit my family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Rooms are super warm even when Seoul's temperature hit -8 degree celcius. Water heater was superb producing very hotvwater and we had great hot baths daily.
Most important of all, is the host Ara. She is the perfect airbnb host! She checked in with us and left detailed instructions to her place including a very useful house manual. And when I had trouble making reservations for a bus add the website was in korean, she helped with no hesitation! She immediately booked the tickets within 5 min whilst we were communicating via Whatsapp. This was even though I had not yet paid her for the tickets! What a gracious host!
I have no qualms recommending Ara and her apartment.

  • Ara's place was fantastic! It was more than enough space, and the apartment is clean, cheerful and convenient. She has everything you could want - iron, washing machine, hair dryer, lots of appliances, TV with hundreds of stations, wireless and wired internet, even a power-converter (although I didn't use it). The location is ideal, just 3 minutes from the Hongik University station, which is perfect to get to the Airport or anywhere else in Seoul. Plus Hongdae was an amazing and fun place to spend time. You don't have to worry about a key, she has a punchpad entry with a special code to get in. This apartment was one of the most well-prepared and convenient places I have ever stayed.

Ara also provides a guide to the apartment with plenty of helpful instructions and she was careful to check in often by email to make sure everything was OK.
