One of the more private casitas in Pueblo Encantado, offering sweeping views & stargazing across from the Four Seasons.
Set within a 95-acre community in the rolling Tesuque foothills, this light-filled retreat is only a 15 minute drive to the Plaza. Enjoy a peaceful patio w/ beautiful views of the Jemez Mountains.
Located at the end of a two-casita building with no parking/cars in front, just rolling hills. A perfect place to relax and experience the quiet beauty of northern Santa Fe.
The space
The casita offers beautiful views of the Jemez Mountains and is located just across Hwy 285/84 from the Santa Fe Opera—perfect for Opera season tailgate gatherings. With Santa Fe’s famously dark skies, the area is also wonderful for stargazing on clear nights. We are only a few minutes from the charming Tesuque Village Market and about 10 miles from the Santa Fe Plaza. The location is also ideal for exploring northern New Mexico, including Los Alamos, Chimayó, Nambe, Ghost Ranch, and the scenic drive to Taos.
Layout
Pueblo Encantado offers two layouts. Ours is the light-filled horizontal layout (rather than the vertical townhouse-style layout), providing privacy for both bedrooms and a large private patio with beautiful views. Unlike some casitas in the community, there are no roads, parking areas, cars, or other buildings in your direct view.
Living Room
Wood-burning fireplace (wood supplied seasonally based on availability—please feel free to ask ahead of time if wood is available). TV with Roku for streaming. Pull-out sofa that opens into a queen-size bed. Please let me know in advance if you plan to use the sofa bed so I can prepare it for your stay.
Primary Bedroom
King bed with ensuite bathroom featuring a large walk-in shower and double sinks. A door and wall of windows open directly to the patio. (Note: the fireplace in the primary bedroom is not for guest use.)
Second Bedroom
King bed with a bathroom just outside the room featuring a tub/shower combination. TV with Roku.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is stocked with glasses, plates, utensils, and basic cooking supplies. Appliances include a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker (starter coffee and sugar provided), and filtered water.
Please note: there is no outdoor grill.
Bonus
A small hill just outside the casita offers breathtaking 360-degree views—perfect for sunset watching and stargazing.

From the host
Do you want the best of both worlds? I love the Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Road and the restaurants, but after that I want to see the beautiful lanscape of Santa Fe. I want to go on a hike on the trails in the Santa Fe hills. I want to walk across the street to have drinks and watch the sunset at The Four Seasons or have a spa treatment. In my opinion, the BEST place in Santa Fe is the Tesuque area where we are located which is a short drive to downtown Santa Fe. Private & stunning views. Just down the road is The Tesuque Market, our funky, local hangout. They serve pizza, burgers & Cristol, y'all! You can see both a beat up Honda and a Bentley in the parking lot on any given night or even a celebrity! We are also a few minutes from the Opera, Gabriel's is up north a bit with casual outdoor dining. There are hiking, biking, museums (may be closed due to covid), skiing, day trips to Taos, White Sands, Los Alamos and Bandelier.....so much to do!

My husband and I live in the Washington, DC area with our four children, who are either in college or have graduated. We also share our home with a red standard poodle named Grover and a Maine Coon cat named Ethel.
We are passionate about the outdoors, hiking, savoring good food, taking in beautiful views, and enjoying low-humidity climates. Santa Fe is a sanctuary for us - we hope you find as much joy in it as we do!
