Our small single room in a very large flat, the breakfast is included (mainly organic), very good wi-fi connection. I work at home and can give you informations and maps of Brussels and Saint-Gilles
Nice small B&B single room, with a balcony on a backyard, very quiet ( you can hear the birds singing in the morning ), at the bottom of a large flat (200m2) fully renovated, with much character ( the owner is a designer ).
The flat is on the second floor of the house with a lift. Brand new mattrass, very comfortable.
The flat was a few times rented for movies !
The area is very fashioned in Brussels, but the street is very quiet, close to the Midi TGV station, many restaurants, shops, nice market every day, park at the bottom of the street...The flat is fully equiped, with wi-fi...
The bathroom is common with the family (a couple with a teenager).
The breackfast is included (mainly organic), in the large kitchen/dining-room.
Sheets and bath sheets included.
The family speeks english, dutch, italian...and can give you with pleasure a lot of informations about Brussels.
We are close to every plublic transport, (15 min.walking from the TGV station) and you can easily reach the center with the bus, tramway, metro, or even walking ( half an hour of a nice walk )
You can arrive here from the airport with the train to the Midi station. Then you can come walking, or with the tram 4 or 3 to "Horta"(5min.walk from here)
Access to the kitchen.
Nous attendons un invité calme, et respectueux de ses hôtes.
L'appartement est non-fumeurs, et la salle de bains est partagée.
We are waiting for a quiet and respectful guest.
The flat is non-smoker, and the bathroom is shared.
The room is exactly like what is shown in the picture. Anne is very accommodating. After hearing my plan to Bruges the next day, she provided a map of Bruges (on the first day she provided me maps of Brussels). Breakfast is good too, it saves my trouble to look for another cafe for a light breakfast.
It's a beautiful room for one person. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Brussels.
Anne was a fantastic host. Her and her family were very hospitable. She supplied all the necessities and the room was very cozy. A light breakfast was provided in the morning and if you're lucky enough, she'll join you to keep you company as well. The location was great. Not too far away from the touristy scene but far away enough to get the feel that you are experiencing the local life. I typically walk everywhere but the subway is nearby as well. I highly recommend Anne's place for anyone traveling to Brussels.
I had a very nice with Anne and her family. The breakfast is amazing :).
Nice place, nice people. Just another good review for Anne & family :)
Anne has been very kind and friendly. She & her husband have helped me also when I was sick. Both available to get me informations.
The announcement and photos reflect really the room and services offered.
The breakfast was very nice, with natural products. They've spoken to me also in italian, I loved that.
Saint-Gilles is a very nice area, calm and connected with the center.
Thanks to this family, my stay has been confortable.
My stay in Brussels was only 3 days, but I could spend my time freely and safely. Anne's family are really kind and especially her husband is friendly and smailey always=) They gave me maps around house and center of Brussels. Those were helpful for me so much. Anne prepared breakfast with delicious tea every morning. I loved this tea actually. Bed room and bathroom are clearn and have a relaxed atmosphere with nice drawings. Althought my English was not enough, I could have conversation with family. They payed attention to me with suitable distance, so I could stay comfortably. The building has an small elevator, so it is convenient. The neighbourhood is quiet. There are some supermarkets nearby. It takes less than 10 mins to trams and metro station on food. I often took tram in 10 mins to get center of Brussels. If you prefered staying as like living in Brussels, I would highly recomend you to stay in Anne's house.
Thank you so much, Anne :-)
Anne and her family are very welcoming and friendly, and it's a comfortable stay - clean, tidy, etc. it's quite easy to get lost in that area though, so thanks Anne for the maps and tips!
I am a designer, working at home for advertising. I like to host people from all over the world, and explain them my town, which I know very (website hidden) is a town that you wouldn't regret to discover for a few days.
