  • This room equipped with almost everything like your apartment. You can cook yourself if you want. You can find many restaurants nearby and a market place is close. If you don't want to drive yourself the subway is close too. I had to reschedule my travel the first day I checked in but Lauren kindly accepted my request and refunded one day room fee. It was pleasant stay during my travel to Seoul. I'm sure your stay at Lauren's place will make your travel comfortable if you have a plan to visit Seoul.

  • Neighborhood was nice and quiet. You get exactly what you see in the picture on the listing. I would most definitely stay here again. Be warned though, it doesn't have a microwave!

  • Lauren's apartment was cosy, clean and filled with everything I needed for my trip. Lauren provided detailed information on how to get to the apartment, and instructions on how to use the much needed heat (as I visited in cold January) and other appliances. She also had a number of brochures of nearby attractions which was very helpful. Thank you Lauren for letting me stay in your lovely apartment. I hope to stay at your apartment on my next trip :0)
    Thanks again

  • The apartment is clean. Located in an alley. It will take you around 5-10 min to Jongno 5 ga station, bad thing about the station is that the station do not have lift.. The area is quite safe as there is a 24hr convenient shop nearby. Its very near to those tourist attraction. Lauren is very helpful and she will reply your SOS msg asap.

  • the apartment is clean and nicely done up. location is on alley, it takes times to find the place. need to ask the local resident to point out the apartment location.
situated about 15 min from the jiongno 5 station. this station does not have elevator and need to lift up the heavy suitcases using the staircases. killing your back. the best is takes the airport shuttle bus,the bus stand is a bit far from apartment. the local bus stand is opposite the apartment. did not try!!
located within the tourist spot is in walking distant of 15 min to 20 min like dongdemum and changdokung places, gwangjang market.
those who dont mind walking this place i recomended to stay.

  • Basic, minimal and tidy, in a great location just walking distance from palaces and the Bukchon village. The apartment is small but well-stocked with provisions and full-size towels (exceptionally for Korea!). My husband and I had a great stay—thank you!

  • My stay at Lauren's place was delightful! I was impresesd with her email/message response times, and her instructions (walking to/from the airport bus stop, subway station, using the A/C, washing machine, etc) were very helpful. She also provided thoughtful touches like little chits of paper with the address written in Korean - it came in handy for me more than once.

I thought the place was extraordinarily clean, and it was great to stay in a real neighborhood.

  • Lauren is a great host. She always replied to my messages very quickly and I had a fantastic stay at Lauren's "Apartment near World Heritage site". Getting to the place was a piece of cake, thanks to Lauren's pictureous explainations. The apartment has everything you need, including a comfortable bed. Walking to the subway takes about 5 minutes, an great base for Seoul adventures!

  • During my two separate stay at the apartment: 3 days and 12 days stay with my elderly mum, I find that the apartment is very well placed and has the essentials of an apartment with some comfort of a hotel which make the apartment suitable for both short and long term stay. We really appreciate the excellent service and professionalism by the host.

As we stayed both short and long term, we learned what is needed for both stays. The apartment has all the essential elements needed for an apartment (ie fridge, full kitchen with utensils and cutlerys ......) The host has also been very thoughtful and provided the comfort of a hotel: linen, tea/coffee, free wifi, washing powder, clothes hanger, iron, ironing table, hair dryer, tv .... The place also has personal aircon which is essential during summer.

The service by the host has been excellent and professional to date. She has always been very helpful and responsive with any of my queries. The host has also provided a guide to get to the apartment and to the use of the apartment's items, which is very essential.

The apartment is within easy walking distance to subway and within easy reach of Seoul major attractions (a few stops using subway). The place is also walking distance to 2 palace, kwangjang market, a street filled with restaurants and convenience stores. It is walkable to Nandemun market but best to use subway for convenience.

Overall me and my mum had enjoyed our stay at the apartment.

  • I stayed with my mum in this apartment for the 1st week of July(summer) and I am pleased with its quiet location. It's around a 5-10min walk, depending on fast you go. Pretty easy to get to and fro from the subway but a little far if you're dragging your luggage during the rain or you're feeling tired from going out.
However, I found that walking through the underground shopping centre linked to the station led to an exit nearer to the apt which helped ALOT during the heavy rain(pretty strong winds), which was a lot of the time. If you travel during the summer, I highly advise bringing/buying an umbrella, we didn't and were caught in the rain. Weather wasn't really hot for us as we're used to summer year round in our home country.

I liked that the apartment came with an electronic lock (pretty exciting to try it out for once), even though i'm used to keys. Feels safe :)
The kitchen and TV came in handy on days that we came back really late and tired. The apartment and bathroom were clean, with enough amenities for a week. Wifi was really quick. Oh and I quite like the bed, the duvet was kinda fluffy-feeling! Tourist attractions are not too far away :)

Lauren was helpful, provided enough information to get to the apt and responded my questions by email quickly, esp when we were wondering about how to get hot water running in the bathroom.
Also, do be mindful that recycling is taken seriously in Korea, so it's best to follow the instructions provided.

IMPORTANT: Do print the provided directions(pics of which buildings to lookout for/walk towards). If you aren't used to apartments/flats like I am in my country, you could get confused with all the buildings in the area.

Overall, we enjoyed our time there and would pick this as a good place to stay the next time we visit Korea!
