Enjoy the charm of a heritage building while staying at the best location in downtown Vancouver. This apartment is located at the Electra Building, the old BC Hydro company building from 1957. Renovated and adapted to residential in 1995 it retains the modernistic charm of the '50s. It was Vancouver’s first skyscraper, then the first commercial building to be designated heritage. The apartment is on the 6th floor.
Please browse through the reviews on my other listings. I'll do everything to make your stay pleasant, comfortable, and stress-free.

Interaction with Guests
I try to meet all my guests on check-in, hand the keys, and explain the basics of the apartment and neighbourhood. I will be available during your stay over the phone, and come by if you need any assistance.
The building is at the corner of Nelson and Burrard streets, right at the centre of downtown. You'll be able to walk everywhere: Convention Centre, Vancouver Art Gallery, Yaletown, Gastown, English Bay, Stanley Park and much more. Only 25 minutes by subway or cab from the airport. Restaurants and shops are steps away.
Other Things to Note
Things my guests love about this unit:
– The view!
– Location. Awesome spot for exploring the city on foot.
– Free washer and dryer on the same floor.
– Quiet spot in a downtown setting
– Safe building and area.
– Supermarket one block away, open to midnight.
Things some guests don't like as much:
– The building has no parking. You can park nearby for around $20 per day, or ask me about my parking spot next door.
– The blinds don't cut the morning light completely.
LGBT and straight friendly.
Please note that I only hand keys to the person who booked the reservation and you must show valid picture ID.
Guests must follow the strata bylaws and regulations. You will be asked to sign a Form K (a demand from the building's management), stating you will comply with these bylaws:
No smoking anywhere in the apartment or building, or up to 6 meters from the building's front door.
No drinking alcohol in the common areas of the building.
Respect the laundry room hours (8am to 11pm).
No noise in the lobby, elevators, or hallways.
And these are my own little rules:
No unregistered guests.
No more than 6 people in the apartment at any given moment.
Please remove your shoes when entering the unit (as Canadians do).
Please, avoid removing make-up on the towels. There are Kleenex, cotton pads and cotton swabs provided for that purpose.
Although I don't charge a safety deposit, I trust you to reimburse me in case of any incident (stains, broken glasses, lost keys, etc).
She was really friendly and the appartement was clean and in the middle of downtown, just awesome!
Great overall experience. Lili is an attentive and accomodating host and a good communicator. The apartment was clean, quiet, well furnished and located in a super convenient spot. Would stay again :-)
Lili actually met us (me, my wife and our 11 month old son) a few blocks from her place. She helped us carry some of our luggage to the apartment. Very helpful and nice thing to do for us!
Lili then gave us a rundown of the place and the surroundings. She is extremely proud of her city and her apartment. The enthusiasm is contagious.
The apartment itself is perfect. Small but extremely clean and nicely decorated. Great cooking wares, too. It's in a perfect location to see the main areas of downtown.
Once we checked in, Lili also gave us updates/suggestions about the town's daily special events.
Most helpful, though, was the correspondence we had before arrival in Vancouver. We came up via Seattle and Vancouver Island and Lili's travel advice was extremely useful.
I highly recommend Lili and her apartment in the Electra Building!
We were met by Lili as arranged and she showed us around the apartment. She is a very gracious host and was most helpful as it is our first time in Canada and we were unfamiliar with how thing worked, places to visit etc.
Lili's apartment is very central, clean and quiet. We had a great time in Vancouver.
Lili was extremely accommodating and helpful. She was at the apartment to meet us, had all the information we needed, and then left us to enjoy the place. The place was in a great location, was very clean, and we had a great time.

About the Host, Lili
I'm an Airbnb veteran, hosting since July 2010 and loving every minute of it. I do a lot of volunteering, namely as the vice-president of Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre, and spokesperson of the Brazilian Consulate's Citizen Council.
I immigrated from Brazil to Vancouver 7 years ago and got my Canadian citizenship two years ago. Ken, my partner, is the chief film critic of the Georgia Straight, Vancouver's weekly entertainment newspaper. As you can imagine, we watch more movies in one year than most people in their whole lives! I love cooking and baking with the great local products we find here.
I totally fell in love with Vancouver as soon as I got here, and I'm sure you will, too. (Or maybe you are returning for a visit and know exactly what I'm talking about!)
You will find a clean and comfortable apartment at the perfect location to explore the city, and I will do my best to make your stay enjoyable and stress-free.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Hope to see you soon!
