The space

The furniture, beds, bedding and linen are of the highest quality. We provide free access to Foxtel and high speed unlimited internet. The apartment comes with security parking with lift access and the building has a security entrance.

You will find yourself superbly located on leafy, picturesque and quiet Herbert St directly across the road from the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. However, you will also be a very short walk to the Barkly and Acland St cafe and shopping strips and some of Melbourne’s most loved restaurants and bars as well as to St Kilda beach and the No. 96 tram which will take you directly into to the city via the light rail which runs along Albert Park and Albert Park Lake.

The neighborhood

St Kilda was named after the Lady of St Kilda, a ship which was moored at the main beach in the early 1840’s. The suburb has a rich history and was always seen as a very popular place to be during victorian and Edwardian times due to its proximity to the bay.

St Kilda has continued to be a very popular place to live and holiday destination. It is a hub for the Melbourne music scene and has three very identifiable landmarks close together on the Esplanade. The “Espy” – the Esplanade hotel, the Palais Theatre and of course Luna Park, with its array of rides and sideshows sitting on the edge of the water.

Acland Street is renowned as being one of Melbourne’s most popular food destinations and it is famous for its array of superb cake shops. if you love gardens and flowers, be sure to visit St Kilda’s Botanic Gardens, also known as Blessington Gardens in Blessington Street. It has one of the most popular rose collections in Victoria. If you would like to see some excellent examples of Edwardian homes take a walk down Robe Street.

Getting around

Getting around is easy from St Kilda, which is located only approx. 5km South of Melbourne’s CBD. Trams commence in Acland St near Barkly St (St Kilda) and run via Acland St, The Esplanade, FitzroySt, South Melbourne Light Rail (Canterbury Rd, Ferrars St and Whiteman St), Clarendon St, SpencerSt, Bourke St (City), Spring St and Nicholson St to terminate near Blyth St (East Brunswick). Access to Melbourne’s rail network is via the Balaclava train station in St Kilda East.

The apartment was lovely. Very clean and tidy and had all the things my family needed for our stay. It's was in a great location for us to have a look around all the areas we wanted to see in Melbourne before deciding to settle down just down the road in Elwood. We had a few issues with the wifi but nicki was quick to sort out the problems and having two children a tv was a must have but it did have a slight problem with connection towards the end of our stay but it got promptly fixed. Over all a very nice stay and nicki was a very competent host. Thank you.

Excellent location. Clean and tidy. As apartment is facing west, hot anoon sun makes apartment very hot. No flyscreens means Air Con must be on all night. A darker blind in lounge would be good. If balcony was shaded would make whole apartment cooler, especially 2nd Bedroom... A few small things would add an extra star to this accommodation.

Absolutely happy with our stay at St Kilda H308 . My family and I arrived at the apartment well before the check-in time of 2.00pm but the host allowed us to move in. ( A special thanks and appreciation to Angelica & her partner ). The location of the apartment was very convenient and ideal for our stay in Melbourne. The nice cafes, restaurants and the 2 supermarkets are all within walking distance. Apartment itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped with all the facilities and amenities. Especially enjoyed the Nespresso coffee. For our next trip to Melbourne, we will definitely choose the same apartment, if not another similar Espresso apartment as the experience has been wonderful.
