John was a responsive host and his cabin was well cozy and clean upon arrival. After a long day skiing at Big Bear, it was great to come back to relax at the rustic but well-appointed cabin. My girlfriend and I went with another couple which was the perfect size for the group. John was also very accommodating to our group's small dog who really enjoyed the fenced in yard. The fireplace was a major bonus and one tip I would suggest for future guests is to make sure you have plenty of firewood. Overall it was a fantastic visit and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay near Big Bear.
Thanks John. You and your GF and your friends were such a joy to host-- easy to communicate with and so glad you enjoyed your stay! My housekeeper didn't even know anyone stayed there because you left the cabin in pristine condition. An Airbnb host is lucky to have you as guests. Hope you will come back in the summer to get to enjoy the lake and see a different side of Big Bear as well as the yard in full bloom!
The cabin was perfect has everything it says it has very warming , took a 4 hour hike down south Victoria ln that leads in to a hiking trail Beautiful scenery! John thank you had a great weekend!
The reservation was canceled 18 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
John was an incredibly thoughtful and gracious host. Everything from the welcome email with local recommendations, to the helpful instructions throughout the cabin made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable. The cabin itself was great with lots of modern touches, while still maintaining its rustic charm. We (5 adults and 1 child) actually spent most of our evenings hanging out in the cabin and were really comfortable. It's in a quiet, conveniently located neighborhood. Overall, I'd definitely book this place again and highly recommend John as a host. Thanks!
John was an excellent host! He communicated with us several times before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed.
The cabin was quaint and wonderfully warm! I loved the decor in the kitchen and appreciated being able to cook a meal for my family. The beds were comfortable and John provides extra blankets in case you need them.
We did not get T-mobile cell phone coverage, but John's cabin has wi-fi, so we were able to send texts and emails easily.
The cabin is just a short drive from the slopes and we would definitely stay here again :)
John was awesome. He was very helpful and thorough in the check in process. Everything went smooth. Cabin was very nice, rustic and modern! Perfect size for 4 people. You could do 5 people if one person is cool with coach surfing. Kitchen was super nice and fully stocked with cooking and cleaning supplies. Beds were decent. The two twin beds are on the soft side but not worst than the Motel 6 down the road (terribly soft beds). The master queen bed was nice and comfy. Overall, this cabin was great and John made the rental process very easy!
Amazing is the only way to describe this place. John has done such an amazing job of making this place romantic, fun, comfortable and welcoming!
John was in on my weekend proposal to my girlfriend and helped me so much in planning a great trip to Big Bear and we wouldn't have been happier that we stayed at his place
I couldn't recommend this place enough to anyone looking to head up to the Big Bear area!
From the first email till checkout, John was available to me to answer all my questions about Big Bear, the location, things to do and any other random things that came up.
The cabin was in great condition and super comfortable!
You can do no wrong in booking this place!

I'm originally from Belen, New Mexico. I grew up on a farm and became a PR professional and enjoy healthy cooking and cookations around the world. I have an herb garden and some edible plants up in Big Bear too so you'll enjoy and learn some lessons on some native and medicinal herbs when you are at the cabin too :)
