John was an excellent host. He kept in contact with us and provided excellent recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The cabin was everything we thought it would be and more. We especially loved the kitchen and the coziness of the cabin. We also loved sitting outdoors on the patio.
John was helpful with our last minute getaway. The place is not too far from the main town. Overall we had a good experience.
We loved staying in this cabin. Loved the yard, and loved that we could bring our dogs. Short drive to Big Bear Lake, and walking distance to some local trails. John was very attentive, communicative and hospitable.
Our stay was awesome!! The cabin is wonderful- peaceful and quiet and John has really taken care of it. The kitchen is great for cooking!! Wonderful place!!
John was a responsive host and his cabin was well cozy and clean upon arrival. After a long day skiing at Big Bear, it was great to come back to relax at the rustic but well-appointed cabin. My girlfriend and I went with another couple which was the perfect size for the group. John was also very accommodating to our group's small dog who really enjoyed the fenced in yard. The fireplace was a major bonus and one tip I would suggest for future guests is to make sure you have plenty of firewood. Overall it was a fantastic visit and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay near Big Bear.
Thanks John. You and your GF and your friends were such a joy to host-- easy to communicate with and so glad you enjoyed your stay! My housekeeper didn't even know anyone stayed there because you left the cabin in pristine condition. An Airbnb host is lucky to have you as guests. Hope you will come back in the summer to get to enjoy the lake and see a different side of Big Bear as well as the yard in full bloom!

About the Host, John
I'm originally from Belen, New Mexico. I grew up on a farm and became a PR professional and enjoy healthy cooking and cookations around the world. I have an herb garden and some edible plants up in Big Bear too so you'll enjoy and learn some lessons on some native and medicinal herbs when you are at the cabin too :)
