Vibrant neighborhood
Guests say this area is walkable with lots to explore, especially for dining out.
Welcoming, with lots of light and right in the heart of Lisbon, our apartment has been totally renovated and is located on a small charming residential street with a tiny chapel on the corner, just a few minutes from restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, theatres and museums.
The space
The apartment is on the second and top floor of a small 19th century building with only two other apartments and no lift/elevator (so not suitable for people with mobility problems).
There is air-conditioning, for heating and cooling both in the bedroom and in the living room.
We have carefully prepared the apartment to make you feel comfortable and at home, with internet and lots of books, so you can totally relax when you return from your daily exploring.
We provide pure cotton/linen bedding and towels, as well as a choice of pillows, environmentally friendly shower gel/hand soap and shampoo, and we only use green cleaning products. In the kitchen you will find some basics like coffee, tea, sugar, fruit, olive oil, vinegar.
Please note there is no baby cot, chair or bath, plug socket covers, child drawer safety locks in the kitchen or kitchen door, so the apartment is not suitable for small children.
Other things to note
LICENSE - This apartment is registered with the National Tourism Board (Turismo de Portugal) under number 21830/AL and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Where you’ll be
São Paulo, Lisbon
Food halls and late-night bars animate this riverside area, where Atlantic light brightens market halls, cafes, and old streets.
From the host
Bairro Alto, which literally means high neighbourhood (being on top of one of the seven hills of Lisbon), is a lively mix of old residential buildings, small traditional stores, modern shops and all sorts of different kinds of bars and restaurants. Quiet and charming by day, you can shop in the local bakery or grocery store or have a coffee and a cake, a haircut or a tattoo; and in the evening, the best Lisbon restaurants are all within walking distance. We’ll be glad to guide you through it all and tell you about our favourite places to eat, drink, shop and visit nearby.
There is something magical about Lisbon - the hills, the light, the river, but Bairro Alto is a particularly fascinating area with its unique blend of tradition and modernity. We hope you'll enjoy exploring it!
