The property was beautiful and just as described. Neighborhood was quiet and central. Palm Springs can be windy and we were very pleased that the pool cleaning service happened twice during our one-week stay. Pool temperature (heated) was perfect. Furniture was stylish, comfortable and durable, so we weren't constantly worried we'd ruin something. Christopher was responsive and friendly. We would stay here again and recommend to friends.
Warning: this is not renting from a home owner, read the fine print this is renting from a company with many additional fees and requirements to booking. If you do not comply with these fine print details you can easily loose a booking within 24 hours.
I wish I could review this property, however I was not bale to book here or the other spot I reserved through airbnb- it was incredibly frustrating - the oasis rentals customer service were very nice and tried to be as accommodating within their policies but the policies were are real drag and my family and I ended up at a place called "summit house" - I would NOT reccomend this spot- it is 'ok' but missing comfy amenities or a home like feel- the pool was nice but required additional costs to heat. Again the customer service good- the rules and regulations- a real expensive drag.
Thank you for your comments regarding our customer service. As property managers/owners of many wonderful homes in the desert we make every effort to provide our guests with the most pleasant vacation experience.
We list all our rental terms as clearly and accurately as possible on all our AirBnB listings. We include the AirBnB rental terms in both the listing itself AND in the house rules to avoid even the slightest chance of confusion. It is regretful that occasionally some guests chose to ignore the listed terms of the rental before finalizing a booking, then complain repeatedly about having to comply with the rental terms. We have hundreds of bookings through AirBnB without an issue and many happy guests as our reviews indicate. It is beyond our control when a guest is determined to make the process more difficult than necessary.
Furthermore, we are required by law in the city of Palm Springs to collect occupancy tax and have a rental contract in place for all guests or we risk losing our business license. Pool heating fees are clearly indicated in the listing itself, and customary with all rentals, and there are no “hidden fees” as implied by this guest.
We loved every minute of our stay at this house. Chris was very helpful and met us at the house before normal check in time. He also let us stay a little later than normal time on checkout day. The house is a very nice mid century home, located in a great neighborhood (Racket club), minutes to downtown and Sunrise which has all the big stores. Everything to have a good time, great kitchen, great outside grill, huge dining table outside. great pool and Jacuzzi, beautiful garden. 2 nice bedrooms and 1 great master bedroom. 2 baths. The lighting of the pool and outside area at night is wonderful. It made us feel like we were in a dream although the house is simple. That is the magic of it. We love mid-century Alexander style so we couldn't be any happier. As soon as you drive in the neighborhood, you can see all these great simple all very well kept homes built in the 60s and it made us thrilled to experience a true vacation as locals. The decoration of the house is colorful and tasteful so you can live Palm Springs at its best. We want to come back!
This house was just what we were looking for. It is a classic Mid Century Modern home with very tasteful decor to match and it exceeded our expectations. The pool area was perfect with plenty of room for the kids to run around, beautiful and ample pool, hot tub, BBQ, dinning area and mountain views. We were happy that we had the pool heated and spent hours in it everyday. Highly recommended!
We loved staying at this house for our trip to Palm Springs. Nicely furnished with quality linens and appliances in the kitchen it was a cozy retreat for us after long days of shopping and enjoying Palm Springs. The pool toys and loungers were also greatly appreciated while we enjoyed the private pool. A couple things to note was the water pressure in the home was quite poor. Only 1 person could shower at a time otherwise the person in the other bath would be left freezing with next to no running water. Also there appeared to be a minor lack of basics like salt and pepper in the house but that wasn't a huge deal. We paid for pool heating for the week but it was turned off somehow midweek (may have been the pool maintenance guy). Although inconvenient, the property manager was very prompt in responding and came to turn it back on right away. All in all we would highly recommend the house to other guests and would consider staying here again in future. There is already talk of planning our next trip. The location and neighborhood of the house was fantastic!
