We stood at beverlys for 2 nights. For the price totally fair. The room was little and cozy. The first night was a little cold but we forgot to turn up the heat. The second night was totally fine. It is very close to the next subway station and it only takes u 10 minutes to downtown crossing. And to the first station in Boston itself maybe 5 minutes. In the description it said that it is with breakfast but we didn't really had anything. But I'm not sure if we should have told beverly what we would like for breakfast. She might have gotten it for us. We didn't meet beverly during our stay.
All in all it is a nice accommodation if you're not looking for a lot of luxury. And close to downtown boston. Thanks for having us, beverly :)
Beverly was a good host! Easy access to airport and 5 mins walk from blue line subway station! Thank you Beverly!
The place is close from T station, easy to find. I stayed at Beverly's place for a night before my morning flight, and it was a snow-stormy day. Although she had to work and stayed there due to the snow storm, there was no problem communicating with her. I had everything I needed at her place. She was very kind to suggest that I can come back to her place if the flight got cancelled for snow, which didn't happen, but I felt very grateful for that.
Great host; very friendly and thoughtful! The room is small but very cute and clean. Apartment is extremely close to the airport/blue line which was super helpful. Had a comfortable stay; would highly recommend!
Very close to the airport. The apartment was clean and Beverly let us find towels in case we needed some. We used the parking spot which is a plus in that area. The room is not perfectly insulated and so in the brutal weather of the last few days some cold will seep in. But Beverly gave us many blankets which kept us warm.
You can actually walk to terminal E or take the subway (blue line), which is close, and then take the shuttle. One advice for travelers: If you take the cab, as I did because it was too cold, call East Boston Tunnel Taxi, not the usual Boston taxis as it may take them longer to reach you and you will be charged more.
If you need a place to crash in that is close to the airport, Beverly's place is a good option. The room is small, but it is very easy and fast to get to the airport, especially if you have to catch a morning flight. Only one stop using the metro, and less than 15 minutes by cab. Communicating with Beverly is also very easy.
Everything was fine. I had no trouble communicating with Beverly, although I didn't have a chance to talk to her in person: I stayed one night, leaving for an early flight in the morning.
We stayed with Beverly for 2 nights while we got a taste of Boston. She was a nice host. Offered breakfast options and even allowed us to follow her on the short walk to the train station. It's an easy train system. I'm used to nyc. I was worried I'd get lost but it really is so very simple. The apartment was a tad bit different than I had pictured/expected but that was totally my fault because I had not gone back to read ALL the reviews. All in all, it was a lovely stay. It is a perfect, inexpensive and convenient way to see Boston. Also, we had a special request even though I didn't see "kid friendly" in the description, and Beverly took a chance on allowing myself and my 3 yr old toddler to stay. We appreciate her going out of her way to make sure my toddler was comfy and entertained. ;)
The best thing about Beverly's place is localization. Couple minutes to Maverick station (blue line), you have a good commute to every place in Boston and Cambridge. The Everett st. and Sumner st. may look quite spooky after dusk, but actually the neighborhood is inhabited mostly by South Americans, who seem to be very friendly. There is also a nice piers park and a catholic church just behind the corner. Shawn's and Marshall are also not far away.
The apartment itself is not very new, rather small and dark so that it may make you feel depressed. The guest room is filled with a bed and a closet and can be claustrophobic upon longer stay. There is, (email hidden) and a DVD-player in the living room. The Internet connection is fast. There was some food in the fridge for breakfast. Beverly was very nice and helpful. She worked quite a lot, so very often the whole apartment was only for us. It is very silent and you can set heating temperature in every room.
A good choice for a short stay for 1-2 persons who mostly appreciate fast transit do downtown Boston or Logan Airport.
