The Space

Nestling in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains you will find Selva,a delightful village almost undiscovered by the majority of visitors to the island.
The accommodation is a self contained stone built house in the grounds of our own home just a few minutes drive from the village where you can find bars, restaurants and supermarkets plus an art gallery. Our own restaurant, Es Portal de Tramuntana, is in the main square of Selva and we offer a different set menu each day at a cost of 19,50€.
The village also has a large swimming pool with bar/restaurant and this is open from 15th June until 15th September. A lifeguard is also in attendance.
Selva is a pretty good base from which to explore the whole island. Heading north west into the mountains heading to Lluc and beyond, there are fantastic walks and drives! The scenery on the drive from Lluc down the west coastpassing through Soller and Deya is breathtaking.
A 30 minute drive approximately to the south of Selva you will find the capital city Palma de Mallorca which comes as a surprise to many people - it is stylish, sophisticated, intimate, yet bursting with life, located on the southern shores of Mallorca, the city looks out over the sparkling blue seas of the Mediterranean. Half of Mallorca's population live here, enjoying some of the island's best restaurants, shops and nightlife as well as a thriving arts scene (email hidden)ly cafe society.
Travel 15 kilometres north from Selva and you will arrive at Pollenca and Alcudia with their amazing beaches and waterfront dining plus plenty of watersports for the more active.

Guest Access

The cottage is totally independent has its own porch and the surrounding patios are for the full use of our guests.

Interaction with Guests

We live in the main house but during the day we are often away from the property.

The Neighborhood

The cottage is surrounded by open countryside with views towards the mountains of the Tramuntana. Very peaceful but just a few minutes drive to the village.

Getting around

Public transport is not very good so a car is essential.

  • We had a wonderful time at Francesca’s and Lens’ place. The house is beautiful, surrounded with a beautiful landscape well equipped with everything you need. Not a mass touristic area, but still a good spot to see the island. Their restaurant in the cosy village was also definitely worth it!! We would really recommend this to our friends, family and other tourists.

  • Francesca and Len were amazing hosts! They both did everything to make us feel at home.
Their guest house had all we needed during our stay. The location in the middle of fields and flowers was just lovely and perfect for chill-out!
We would definitely stay there again and recommend Francesca's & Len's place.

  • We had such a great time in the beautiful finca from Francesca and Len. It is a place to relax while you enjoy the idyllic landscape and hear the bells of the sheep. Form the first moment it feels like home. We're looking forward to our next stay and will be very happy to see Francesca and Len again.

  • Gemütlich, ruhig und sauber. Ausserdem schön gelegen und perfekt für den kombinierten Kultur- Wander-Bade- Urlaub!

  • The cottage is very charming and idyllic.
The landscape is also very beautiful.
Unfortunately the weather was so hot and dry so that we couldnt enjoy and use the cottage and the environment.
The house is optimal in autumn and in spring time!
The hosts were very open minded and very very friendly, it was a pleasure to meet the two.

  • very good accomodation: away from the main tourism but strategically very good situated to discover the island. finca is clean, cosy and elefantly furnished. len and francesca are helpful but not obtrusive. fully recommended!

  • We had a great stay here. Len and Francesca were wonderful and very helpful giving us tips on we're to visit. The stay is in a cozy one bedroom cottage with a sitting room with a small wood burning stove, kitchen, and bathroom with absolutely gorgeous views of the mountains. It's very quiet - which was exactly what we were looking for - and a good spot to drive to any part of the island from. We loved waking up to the sheep bells in the distant fields and the access to the quiet roads to go jogging on. We have nothing but good to say about our stay, and we will be happy returning guests with a "definitely will recommend."

  • We spent one week at Fransesca‘s and Len’s place. Both are very friendly and helpful hosts. Their guesthouse is equipped in a typical mallorquine style and provides everything you could need. Moreover, you have a beautiful view to the Tramuntana. We had a great stay and strongly recommend the cottage and the hosts.
