Super cozy, quiet light-filled house on top of a south facing hill, with views of Downtown LA and beautiful sunsets. Check out Friday Night Fireworks from Dodgers Stadium and grill out on the spacious deck. One bedroom with cable and internet. Close to everything not on the Westside! Downtown, Pasadena, Silver Lake, Echo Park, LA River are all within 20 minutes. It's 4 flighs of steps up a hill, so you get your cardio workout, too! :)
There is a compact kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal, but if that is not your thing, there are fantastic restaurants just ten minutes away in Downtown LA, Pasadena, Eagle Rock and Glendale. Or a fifteen minute drive to Echo Park, Silver Lake Los Feliz and twenty minutes to Hollywood!
If you don't want to drive, the Gold Line train is a short ten minute walk away.
If you like architecture then check out the great bungalows and mid-century moderns of Mt Washington, or the craftsman homes of Historic Highland Park. You can take the many bike paths and hiking trails to the local museums or feel like you are in the wilderness in the hills Elysian Park or wild and rustic Debs Park, one of LA's best kept secrets! Or stay close and enjoy a book in the shade on the fantastic deck with sweeping views of LA.
Wifi is available and if vegging out and watching a movie is your thing, there is a TV with a dvd and cable.
While Airbnb only allows you to choose one type of bed, there is also a pullout sofa bed, so four people can sleep there comfortably. An air mattress can also be provided upon request.

This is a cool & unique apartment, w-a-y up the hill in Mount Washington. I counted 68 outdoor steps from street level to apartment level, so be prepared for a climb, but the views & relative solitude are totally worth it. The apartment is plenty big & clean enough, but the real star is the outdoor deck, and the great views over the city & nearby Elysian Park. We made a point of sitting out and watching the sunset every day that we could. The neighborhood is urban & working class but safe, and you are within 10 minute driving proximity of cool restaurants & bars in Glandale, Highland Park, Silver Lake, and downtown L.A. Joe was a very responsive host, and all in all, our stay was a fun & positive experience. We will quite likely stay here again on one of our future L.A. visits.
Joe has a great place on a quiet little street, perfect for relaxing. Loved the balcony and found everything to be clean and inviting. Joe was quick with communication and a treat to work with. Thanks!
I stayed at Joe's apartment over a three-day weekend to explore the city. The unit was beautifully lit with natural light throughout the day and I fell in love with the front patio/balcony that was perfect for having a cup of tea in the morning or for enjoying the city lights (or what you can see through the infamous LA smog) at night. He provided plenty of blankets and towels for our stay. The unit was just as pictured in the posting.
Joe is a great host and was quick to respond to any inquiries I had before and during our stay. I mentioned that I was driving in from Bakersfield the morning I was to check in and he sent me a friendly reminder that he would need until 1pm to clean the unit after another guest checked out. When I asked about check out, he let me know that there wasn't much of a rush and let us stay a few hours later to enjoy lunch in the city before packing up. Great host, beautiful unit!
We really enjoyed staying here for the Rose Bowl. Close to everything we wanted to do, including Pasadena, downtown LA, Santa Monica, and Magic Mountain. The deck provided great views to enjoy morning coffee and evening city lights, including New Years Eve fireworks. Area is quiet and the neighbors were friendly. Joe was a great host, communicating often before and during our stay. A GREAT value!
Joe was an incredible host of an awesome house. He went out of his way to be accommodating and responded to every need and question promptly. The view from the house was indeed stunning. Everything one could need was furnished and then some. I look forward to staying at this property again.
We stayed at Joe's place for 4 weeks and it was a pleasure all the way through. The house is vibey and nice with a great view! Nice outdoor area and super quiet. The bed was very comfy. Close to the Metro and several of the freeways made the city very accessible. Joe was a great host and responded quickly on any request. Would definitely stay here again!
Joe was super fast in replying and easy to work with. Great, clean place and a good location! Thanks!
Our third stay at Joe's place was the best yet. For 3 days this place was home and it has started to feel more and more like it these days. Our dogs have fallen in love with the deck and back area. I worked at the desk set up for a home office and we cooked in the totally stoked kitchen. There is everything you need from a pizza cutter, to can opener, the works. It's a truly stocked apartment ready to live in!
We had the most wonderful time at Joe s place. The pictures doesnt do the pace justice. Its in a great location and has the most amazing view of LA. Joe was great and very responsive and very willing to help and keep in contact the whole time. I will definitely come back and stay here again and would highly recommend joe s place. Its great value for money. Thanks Joe!
Great value! Wonderful view, and larger than expected space. Would stay there again.
