The cabin was perfect! It's exactly what I would want for a vacation home. I wish I could copy-paste it. There is plenty of room, and it's really cozy. The lake is beautiful, the hot tub is great, and the cabin has everything you could need. I stayed there with 6 other girls for my bachelorette party, and we all loved it.
Kathy's place was wonderful! We all had such a nice time in this beautiful spot. Thank you for the wonderful experience and great communication!
Kathy was great at staying in touch and answering questions. The cabin itself was perfect - exactly what we were looking for. Secluded in the woods to the point where you can sing really loudly in the hot tub at night, but go to the rite aid to buy queso dip without too much trouble. Beautiful surrounding, very close to Sunday River/Mt. Abram, and there's so much included there. I went as a work retreat with some friends/coworkers and we all had an awesome time. We skipped out on the foggy goggle apres ski scene because we had everything we needed at the cabin! The only issue we ran into was no fuel for the tiki torches, but of course, we found a floodlight and extension cord in the basement so late night hot tub/igloo fire sessions were no problem. Best of all, didn't see a single bear! Don't hesitate on this one.
We had a fantastic experience staying in Kathy's cabin! A group of eight of us spent the weekend, and it truly could not have been more perfect. The cabin is very clean and extremely spacious, with a great open floor plan. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The fireplace and hot tub were definitely the highlights of our stay on a cold winter weekend. Sunday River is right nearby, so this would be an ideal place to stay if you're looking to ski, but we honestly didn't want to leave the house - it was so cozy! We'd love to return and would absolutely recommend Kathy's cabin for a Maine getaway!
The cabin was awesome! We were there over a chilly President's Day weekend, but still enjoyed the area, the fireplace, and the hot tub. The sleeping arrangements are very comfortable for a group, with plenty of common space for reading, board games, and conversation. The kitchen is very well equipped and a pleasure to cook in. Kathy was a very responsive host who answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. The location is great for skiing and x-c skiing. I would like to come back in the summer to enjoy the house in a different season and take advantage of the fire pit and screened porch. Thanks for a lovely weekend, Kathy!
Kathy's place was great. It was warm and cozy despite lows of -2 while we were there! The hot tub and fireplace are perfect too! Kathy was wonderful about communicating everything we needed -- absolutely one of the best on airbnb! The surrounding road was a little tough to climb in the blizzard picking up as we left but if you have four-wheel drive, it's no problem. Overall, this place is great and you want to stay here!
Kathy's house was fantastic! A group of my girlfriends rented the house for a low-key bachelorette weekend, and we very much enjoyed our stay. There was tons of space, plenty of beds for everyone, and plenty of space in the hot tub :-) We'll be visiting the Mousse Lodge again! Thanks Kathy!
