Our cosy house in Hove/Brighton is quiet, but with the fun and business of Brighton not far away. It fits one person and is located conveniently for getting into central Brighton. We are only 10 minutes walk from the beach. Enjoy the sunny garden.
Please Note: We will only look at bookings which are made with a minimum 48 hour advance and have full details on the profile (this means references and all the security checks) - thanks!
We have a cosy single bedroom which is close to Hove, Brighton, Portslade & Aldrington train stations (all of these stations are the same price when coming from somewhere else) – great to get around the local area from. Our house is in the Art Deco style and we’ve tried to reclaim as much of the original features of the house as we have discovered them. We offer fresh linen, towels, use of bathroom facilities, Kitchen facilities, washer/dryer facilities, tea/coffee making in your room, Wi-Fi and offer toast and jam in the morning.
10 mins walk from the beach. Excellent cycle paths along the seafront, we are happy to lend our bikes to you when you stay.
Excellent bus (49, 46, 2 & N7) transport into the heart of Brighton, bus stop is only 1 min walk from house.
Close to shops and restaurants. Paid street parking, but free parking is only a few streets away. We are close to Hove lagoon, where you can hire kayaks, sailing boats or do wind surfing.
Brighton/Hove has all sorts to do - Brighton Wheel, Pavillion, Shopping in the Laines, great Restaurants, museums (these have some brilliant cafes in them and the Hove museum is only 8 mins walk away from us).
Approximately, one hour from London on the train. Only half an hour from Gatwick airport.
We are avid travellers ourselves, so understand how useful it is to get 'local' information.
The room is bright and warm, with a nice view of the back garden, which is not over looked by other houses.
We have a lovely little garden with a water feature, which is nice to sit out in during the warmer months of the year. It is south facing, so has the sun for the whole day.
We'll do our best to make your stay a pleasant and comfortable one.
Access is to the whole house, except the main bedroom. You can use the kitchen. Living room and bathroom are shared.
Most of the time we are home when the guest is there, but this just depends on how busy we are. We don't mind interacting with guests, but we leave guests to approach us for their needs and conversation, rather than the other way around.
We love the peace and quiet, but with the fun and business of Brighton being just down the road. Best of both Worlds!
I would suggest that guests take advantage of our close by free parking and walks on the Hove seafront.
We have a lot of buses which go by very close to our house which lead into the centre of Brighton. We have 3 train stations very close by and parking for free is only one street away.
To get to us from Gatwick airport, which is the closest to us, just follow the driving instructions that we have listed for arriving from London.
We really only look at people with full profiles, who can give us two days notice and have their security checks in place. We only take one person in the room.
My visit to Brighton was wonderful, and exactly what I was looking for in my airbnb experience. John and Debbie were great hosts, with a beautiful eclectic home. I would recommend it any day.
John & Debbie were lovely hosts and very flexible...which was great seeing as I didn't roll in until 6am (was quiet though). Only sorry I didn't have more time to get to know them better.
This was my second stay with John and Debbie and was warm, comfortable and friendly. Very homely and easy to fit in. Thanks guys!
I arrived very late, as my mobile ran out of power and I got lost on the way! I had no way of communicating to my hosts, so Debbie and John were already in bed when I arrived, but Debbie got up to let me in and welcomed me with some hot tea. The room was warm and cosy, as advertised, and the bed very comfortable. My hosts were very friendly and happy for me to extend my stay from one to two nights. I was able to get in and out of central Brighton very easily, and all in all, it was a very pleasant, confortable and friendly stay.
New to Airbnb, I was a wee bit apprehensive but this charming couple made me feel comfortable right away.
Their little gem is particularly cosy, exudes an air of
tranquility and also reflects their own personality, which I
enjoyed a lot.
What amazed me the most is their skill to identify your fields of interest in order to give you the best suggestions.
Thank you so much John and Debbie for your hospitality, and for making my too short stay a memorable one. I will definitively come back.
A very convenient welcoming place near the station and shops. I enjoyed my stay in John and Debbie's lovely house and would certainly stay again. Recommended for those who want to experience something different from the tourist sites but with great transport links to them .
John and Debbie were great hosts, the place is nice and quiet and they were friendly and easy to rub along with.
I have a good stay in John n Debbie home.they re nice and helpful.they Printed a map for me. N Lots of informations in your room. It's very easy to town n Brighton just 10-15 mins by bus.just a few mins walk from home to bus stop.
I have been working in Brighton for three days a week and needed somewhere quiet to stay with easy access into Brighton. John and Debbie's home fitted the bill perfectly. They are extremely pleasant hosts and the house is comfortable and is kept very clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending them or their home and plan to stay there again myself.
I was there for a week while looking for jobs and long-term housing. Unfortunately, I spent the vast amount of my short time their trying to find places, so I regret not getting to know them as much as I should have. But John and Debbie are good hosts - they were good about checking in on me, yet also respected my privacy and were very inviting (outings and such), and even suggested places for me to look.
The place is a nice little house in a quiet little street just off Portland Road, so there are plenty of news agents and bus stops nearby if you need to get into city centre or wherever you fancy. The bedroom is also their office, but honestly I found it quite cozy.
I highly recommend John and Debbie as host's. They were very kind and respectful to me. And the place was very comfortable and tidy.
Oh, and if you enjoy animals, there are some very friendly neighborhood cats that hang out on the street :)
