This was the best part of our trip! We are so glad we carved a few days out of our itinerary to spend some time off the beaten path. It was like something out of a movie--gorgeous, picturesque, relaxing, quiet, romantic. Massimo and Monica were great hosts and made sure we were having the best possible stay at every turn. We elected to have Monica cook our dinners (in addition to the breakfasts that they include with the price of a night's stay) instead of finding restaurants and it was such a treat. We ate in their dining room while they ate in the kitchen, with their dog Lapo checking in on us/our food every once in a while. :) The whole experience was fantastic and I hope to be able to return some day!
We loved staying at Massimo & Monica's villa. Its in a good location, within 1-2 hours drive/train ride of all the places worth seeing in Tuscany. Highly recommend Monica's dinner option one night. The villa is very comfortable and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. Only slight downside is the lack of a real kitchenette but other than that we recommend this place wholeheartedly.
We've spent 5 nights at this fantastic Villa and we're really happy with our choice! Massimo and Monica are extremely hospital and kind people. Villa itself is something!! Its so ancient! If someone want to dive into real Toscana life - it is the best decision!! Fantastic museum of local artefacts right inside the house! Huge beautiful garden and great swimming pool!!
Positively recommend this place to those people who like to discover something really interesting and authentic.
Thank you so much Massimo and Monica!
Vlada, Maria and Alexander.
Hope to see you next time we come to Italy!
We loved our stay at the cottage! Massimo has been a great host to us, showing us around in his ancient house with museum (very impressive), telling us all about the history of the surroundings and his properties, generously inviting us to taste his home made wine and olive oil (they were both excellent!) and taking care of our transport. Thank you again! The cottage itself is lovely and very carefully and pretty decorated. The garden of the house was amazing as there was so much to look at, you could wander around or have a swim - perfect!
We had the most incredible time in Massimo and Monica's magical villa! I can honestly say that this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen and certainly ever stayed. Massimo and Monica and their family (including a very sweet dog and cat) were so kind and generous. We are so thankful that they opened their home to us, because staying at Villa Organi was the most memorable part of our trip. The surrounding area is also very pretty, but we spent so much time just enjoying the gardens because we didn't want to leave. We would highly recommend this Massimo and Monica and their lovely cottage!
Amazing amazing amazing!! this was really like being in a dream. the villa is located in the most beautiful place in Tuscany and Massimo and Monica are the most lovely hosts - so caring and helpful!
We had the time of our life - insist on a dinner prepared by Monica: it was the best food we had in Italy. also ask Massimo to tell the history of the place.
we recommend it!
We stayed here for a week in late August, doing day trips each day with a hire car. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to come home to. Massimo is a helpful and tentative host whose knowledge of the Tuscan country-side for those local insights is very helpful when planning a day out. Massimo and his family (plus a lovable cat and dog) live in a separate building on the property. A car is best for getting to and from Villa Organi, and a map or SatNav. There is parking but limited space to turn around so some ability to reverse down a strait driveway may be necessary. We also used local trains (drive and park near the station) for travelling to other locations such as Cinque Terre and Florence. For those who may want to stay and relax there is a pool and a very large garden with cool shady trees to lay under if hot. A separate summer house with seating is provided near the pool. The shower is hot and the bed comfortable with sufficient space to spread your personal effects about. A kettle is provided but no cooking facilities in the cottage - the addition of a small fridge would be useful also. The bathroom and cottage are clean, and it is very quiet at night. Breakfast of a jam tart with toasted bread and a strong brewed coffee was served every morning. Our one suggestion for improvement would be to provide a small fridge in the main accommodation area for milk and other perishables if one gets the urge for a midnight snack or hot drink; there is one in the small summer house near the pool however.
Over-all we loved Villa Organi. The setting is how we imagined a country Tuscan stay would be.
Perfect location to visit Toscany!
It is a wonderful combination between visiting the sites and relaxing in a very nice and quiet place.
All the main places to visit are in a range between 25 min and 50 minutes from the villa.
The Villa is offering a beautiful garden with fresh fruits, vegetables and a beautiful swimming pool to relax after a day of visit! Massimo and Monica are offering a very warm welcome and some authentics diners according to the TOscan cuisine. We had a beautiful stay and we wil lcertainly come back!
If you want to enjoy some quiet days in Tuscany, this is the place to go! The hospitality of Massimo and Monica is outstanding. Be sure to ask them to prepare a dinner for you because this has been one of the highlights of our trip! The cottage itself is a bit small and indeed a bit wet, but everything else totally makes up for it!
We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Organi. Massimo and Monica (and their daughter Carolina) are wonderful hosts. They are very welcoming and accommodating. We had a bit of trouble finding their place on the first day because our GPS got confused near the end but Monica came to meet us and it all worked out. you need to be comfortable driving up hill as they live high in the mountain but we found it was no problem after a few times doing it. Plus, because it is at a higher elevation the temperature is very loveky which is a huge plus, especially in August!
We brought our baby son and stayed in the cottage which worked reasonably well, especially since we mostly spent our time in their pool or visiting the nearby towns. The cottage is lovely and the pool and grounds are beautiful. We loved hanging out there and enjoying the view.
The breakfast is very generous and tasty and if you have a chance to arrange having Monica cook dinner for you, it is well worth the money. She is a wonderful cook.
All in all, we thoroughly loved our time there and will definitely go back.
