This was a strange experience. I was met by a man who claimed to be the man pictured on Airbnb. It wasn't him. He was not a friendly fellow. He directed me to his office where he informed me: 1) the apartment shown on Air Bnb was not the one I would be getting. 2) I owed him money. 3) I would have to sign a fake contract saying I was renting the place for the month ( a precaution needed to convince the police). Of course, I refused the latter and insisted that I had paid online. I was eventually escorted to the room and given a key. The room was pretty damn sparse and just a little nasty. Cockroaches and mosquitoes. A bed I worried had not had its bed sheets cleaned in a while. There was hot water though and wifi. What can I say. If you want a comfortable experience avoid. If you want a great travel narrative I'd say go for it. It might just get really weird.
