Welcome to your own slice of heaven! Enjoy dinner in your Chef's kitchen while watching one of the most radiant sunsets you will ever see. Stunning views from the private rear deck or snuggled on the couch inside the living room. Wade into Long Island Sound with semi-private beach access 250 feet away. The property is 5 doors down from the CT Audubon Society, known for its epic views and wildlife watching. The sunrises & sunsets are beautiful! 15 minutes to Yale. We can't wait to host you!

The space
This 1930's beach bungalow was painstakingly renovated over 2.5 years. This exceptional 3BR/1BA home is situated on Milford's private Cedar Beach and lies within close walking distance to the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point (bird & wildlife watching & education center). The owners use their experience hosting other short term rentals in Savannah, GA & Nantucket, MA to provide for a top-notch guest experience at this property. This property is special to us as we grew up on Cedar Beach. We were inspired by Nantucket's quintessential architecture when designing this home, and endearingly call this house "Little Nantucket".

The wood wainscoting on the living room & bedroom walls and ceilings are original -- restoring them to their original beauty was quite a process! We added details that the most discerning renters desire including:
- 2 Bedrooms with queen beds. The four season front porch & lounge functions as an optional 3rd bedroom with 2 daybeds equipped with twin memory foam mattresses. Note: use the rear deck to enter & exit if you want to use the front porch as a private bedroom
- Renovated bathroom with marble basket-weave floor tile & high quality fixtures from Signature Hardware
- Central air & heat throughout the entire home, including the front porch/lounge
- Chef's Kitchen with Smart fridge, microwave, range with hood vent, & dishwasher
- Formal dining table with seating for 4 + kitchen bar stools with seating for 7
- Double glass slider in the kitchen opens to a rear deck with amazing sunsets
- Living area with a Smart TV including access to apps/content
- Memory foam mattresses on all 4 beds (we get at least 2 messages a month asking where we purchased these!)
- High-end finishes from brands like Circa Lighting, Four Hands, Serena & Lily, Ballard Design, and antique showrooms across the Northeast
- Features off-street parking for 4 vehicles
- Private beach access ~250 feet from our house (8 houses over)
- Seasonal outdoor shower

The property is an ideal retreat for families or small groups (no more than 6 people please). No detail has been spared.

This property is located on Cedar Beach, a private beach in Milford, Connecticut. Cedar Beach is located on a unique peninsula surrounded by water on 3 sides in the most western part of Milford where the mouth of the Connecticut River meets Long Island Sound. The peninsula has a golden sand beach on the southern side and beautiful sea grass on the northern side, offering vastly different views and ascetics with a turn of your head.

Beach Access: There is beach access at the end of Francis St, which is a few hundred feet from our house (8 houses over). Take a right out of our front door and Francis St will be the first street on your left. Street parking is not allowed on Francis St so very few people use the beach access on Francis St unless they live in the neighborhood. It is pretty private!
