The Space

Location! Location! Location!

A beautiful, bright & cozy private bedroom within a 5 bedroom, 1,350 sqft. open loft space located in the exciting Los Angeles Downtown Arts District! The bedroom is our largest available, at approximately 11x13'. It is equipped with a full size bed, small couch, large window & plenty of space.

There is a bathroom, kitchen, as well as a large creative space shared by all. The building has a secure entrance, elevator and laundry on-site (complete with a handy dandy change machine). We will provide fresh towels, sheets & basic toiletries

The neighborhood & building are *truly* vibrant and unique. In fact, our building is even featured on the hit television show "The New Girl". Neat, huh? We are conveniently located minutes away from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, Metro Gold Line, Little Tokyo, Fashion District, China Town, Union Station, Olvera Street, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, Local/Farmers Markets, Angel City Brewery, Wurstküche (Yum!), Novel Cafe, The Museum of Contemporary Art and much more. Additionally, we suggest typing in the words: "Downtown Los Angeles Arts District" in your favorite search engine for a better understanding of the demographics, neighborhood and happenings. You'll be surprised with just how many of your questions will be answered with only a few clicks!

Parking is ample. I suggest that you always read the street signs (of course), as certain spots are valid anywhere from 2-72 hours.

  • My stay at this loft was great.
The room has a wonderful atmosphere! The area is extremely chic - with good cafes and restaurants -surrounded by beautiful murals. If you like art, good sushi, the best coffee and the best burger in town - this place is perfect!
And Amanda was a fantastic and very helpful host!

  • Amanda was a very friendly host. The loft is well located, walkable distance to Tokyotown and all the downtown. Unlikely no doors and walls of plywood make the place very noisy and with no privacy.

  • Good place! Clean and interesting, and an excellent location.

    January 2013
  • Comfortable room in the quiet Arts District. Plenty of parking available and walking distance to downtown. Also conveniently located for public transportation and there is a nice Asian supermarket within a short walking distance. Sharing the bathroom with the other guests was not a problem and the wifi is very fast. Both Mike and Amanda are available for anything you need during your stay.

  • Great location, great people, great experience! Mike and Amanda have a cool place with a calm vibe. Easy-going, friendly, and comfortable. Their vetting process ensured that all the others staying here were like-minded and the environment was very safe. Highly recommended for anyone coming to LA.

    December 2012
  • Amanda and Mike were extremely helpful and kind during my stay. The room was extremely spacious, actually more spacious than it appears in the picture! It was a comfy and stylish room and I enjoyed my stay. The area is artsy, a trendy little hot spot. It seems to be the perfect place to stay if you are in transition to moving to LA. I think anyone would enjoy staying in this loft, as they have something for everyone. Just keep in mind if you do not have a car, you will spend a lot of time on public transportation getting to other areas of LA. So long as you plan for this, it is not bad at all.

    September 2012
  • I spent 1 month at Amanda and Mike's loft and I couldn't expect a better home! They are wonderful hosts and they took really good care of me and we all had a good time together. The room was great, and I would advise everyone to book it to discover Los Angeles and especially the Art District. They also have made most of the amazing furnitures in the apartment, and it is something you have to see!
I would come back for sure!
