Try something different: a charming houseboat in Copenhagen (Holmen/Christainshavn)
Copenhagen's best located houseboat area right next to Holmen preserved ramparts and yet only 15 minutes from downtown. The location is perfect for exploring Copenhagen and the nearby area. Very close to smaller nice beaches and just 15 min. from the big beach at Amager strandpark. Very family-friendly area. 5 min from the boat there is Christiania, and the cosy area of Christianshavn with metro.
The houseboat consists of a big and bright kitchen / dining / living room, a bathroom, a large bedroom, hall, and 3 smaller rooms. The kitchen has all modern facilities such as gas stove, dishwasher and everythink you need for cooking
There are 80 m2 terrace on the roof with a fantastic view. The houseboat offers all modern amenities, dishwasher, washing machine, internet ect. The houseboat is equip child-friendly with highchairs and toys. The boat accommodates 8 people, but 2 more persons can sleep on mattresses in the living room.
Holmen is a very special part of Copenhagen and has until 1993 belonged to the Danish fleet. But Holmen quickly transformed into a plush residential area with many modern and luxurious apartments. At Holmen and Christainshavn you will also find many good restaurants and cafes. If you want to go downtown you just take the Water Bus from the Opera House, located about 300 meters away, and you're in Nyhavn in no time. The water Bus is an experience in itself and costs the same as going by bus, train or the metro.

It was a really nice Stay. The house boat is more big inside that it looks on the outside, and there is enough space for 6 people, but just one bathroom is a little difficult. We have some problemes to find this place but the localisation is good, not in the center so it's quiet, and it's easy to travel to the center with the bus (boat or car). There is a "netto" just near : usefull.
We only stay for a week end, in winter, the boat was warm (take all the sense) and the cat really cute.

A lovely experience. Our host Sara was really helpful while our party of six battled through a storm from Stansted, Bristol and Geneva to reach the houseboat! The houseboat itself exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to others. Many thanks, Sara.
It was my first time to visit Denmark and we went for a weekend to visit the Christmas markets. There were 6 of us: mum, daughters and daughter-in-law. We would usually stay in a hotel but this time opted to stay in the Houseboat. We are really glad we did as we really enjoyed our stay.
When we got there it was dark and wet and we were delighted to arrive in the warm houseboat. We also found a wonderful restaurant nearby called '56' - that's worth a visit! I would recommend this to anyone. It's a fun place to stay and the hosts were very accommodating. A great choice.
We had an excellent time on the house boat of Sara and Christian's. Everything was very well planned and worked out perfectly. The area feels safe and it is very quiet despite the central location. Acess to public transport was great with the busboat 5 mins away and the bus stop 10 mins away. There was a supermarket nearby and a restaurant next door. We could not have asked for anything more. The place was immaculately cleaned and the beds were comfortable.
I visited Copenhagen with seven of my best friends to compete in Toughest. We decided to stay at Sara and Christians house boat to fit everyone and have a nice place to relax afterwards. Christian met us at the boat and instructed us how to operate the heating etc. We got a polite treatment and the possibility to move our cheek in and check out. Downsides was the mold in the bathroom and the boats cat, while I'm allergic.
Overall we were all very pleased with the stay and can strongly recommend it.
This was a wonderful stay. How awesome can it get? Houseboat in Copenhagen? That's a no-brainer. Sara and her husband were very helpful and supportive. Everything was alright!
Saras houseboat was amazing! We highly recommend it to other airbnb hosts. Two thumbs up!! Thank you again!
I stayed with 6 buddies on Sara's boat and it was exactly what we needed. We rented bikes close to the train station (Gasvaerksvej) and it's a comfortable 20min bike ride to the boat. Sara awaited our arrival on the boat but we didn't catch her as the train was late. Communication via SMS was easy and friendly though.
The boat is cozy, has a well equipped kitchen and a nice "upper deck" where we had our breakfast in the sun.
I happily recommend this place!
We had a fantastic stay at Sara & Christian's house boat. It's in a lovely location in easy reach of the centre. The only problem we had was trying to drag the kids away from the boat to explore Copenhagen - they loved being on the boat too much. Very accommodating hosts and I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
