This was one of my best AirBnB stays ever. Amelia and Cherise are fantastic hosts. They made me feel very welcome, as if I was coming home. The house is in a beautiful area, and the room I had was very comfortable. Amelia arranged a guided hike to the top of Mt. Loleza, a trip to the Ngozi Crater Lake and a three day trip to Matema, on Lake Nyasa. Most importantly she made sure I had a way to leave Mbeya when the only local airline was canceling half of their flights. The house is also a great place to meet interesting people and get a good feel of what it is like to live in this fascinating corner of Africa.

Response from Amelia:
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us Jason. On Thursday, hearing the plane overhead coming into Mbeya, I sighed a sigh or relief. So glad you made it on that plane. So far, no more cancellations on Fastjet this week (dont hold your breath though) karibu tena and all the best with your future.

It was a big pleasure for me to stay at this place. The hosts are lovely people and I was lucky to also meet their parents. Just wonderful people. I very much appreciated to be served free range eggs breakfast from the own grown chickens. I can't tell much about the area since I was only busy with work. But as to my knowledge the house is located in one of the best areas in Mbeya. Next time, I will 100% stay a this house if there is a free room for me. Thanks you for hosting me. Hug

After many business trips to Mbeya sleeping in noisy hotels, I finally found the best option at Amelia's. Her and her sister were both great and the place very quiet with lovely common areas. During the day the wifi router is in Amelia's café nearby, so you have to go there for wifi if needed in the middle of the day.

We like to make people feel right at home in a true Tanzanian/Namibian blend by making their stay as comfortable as possible. We also take great pleasure in introducing new people in our small, quiet, mountain side town to all the sites, sounds and beautiful scenery in Mbeya. This can be arranged in the form of safari's to nearby Katavi, Kitulo and Ruaha National Park. We also offer trips to Matema Beach, Rungwe Mission, Kiparoko Falls, Daraja ya Mungu, Ngozi Crater Lake, Lunji Farm and Utengule Coffee Lodge. Depending on which package, these can be arranged by vehicle, horse back, bicycle and public transport. Karibu Sana!
