Our apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Testaccio, where the true Romans live!!!
It is on the second floor of a typical popular building (called case di ringhiera);
the entrance is from a common balcony and in the first room there are: kitchen and bathroom (with a very peculiar shower decorated with original Murano glass mosaics!).
In the main room there is the double bed ( eventually separated in two single ones), cupboard, desk, tv and...A VERTICAL PIANO where my granny, concertist, used to practice!!!
The whole apartment has parquet on the floor (even the bathroom!!!) and has been completely designed by the famous Parioli Architect Mr Sambo!
The position of our apartment is perfect (very close to the banks of the Tiber river, from where you can walk 'till the centre without traffic and pollution) and strategical:
in 5 min walking distance you reach the metro-underground (line B), station Piramide, to get to the main train station Termini in 15 min, to the Colosseum in 5, to Circo Massimo in 3, etc...
or take the train to the main airport Fiumicino or the trains to the Thyrrenian sea (in 30 minutes in Ostia and Ostia Antica).
Or you can take buses to Trastevere, S.Peter, the Synagoge and Getto area, Piazza Venezia Square...all in few minutes!
Right in front of the apartment, a supermarket, around the corner other supermarkets, vegetables and fruit shops and all around... ROME'S MOST TYPICAL AND FAMOUS RESTAURANTS and PIZZERIE, vinerie and enoteche (wine places)...as Remo (pizzeria in piazza santa Maria Liberatrice, the best pizza of the area) and Il Cantinone (restaurant-pizzeria just around the corner from us, with delicious typical roman and italian dishes).
Plenty of theaters, cinemas, discos and pubs (thanks God a bit further away!!!)
And in few min walking distance the famous"Mercato del Testaccio"!!!
Our vertical piano for music lovers could eventually be used UNDER PREVIOUS REQUEST!
The apartment is perfect for a couple, or a couple with a baby.
Come and visit us!!!

My Husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Natascia's apartment. Ours hosts were friendly and very helpful with any questions we had during our stay. The apartment was in a great location, we love to walk so the location suited us well. We walked to the Vatican, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. During our three day stay we did not take public transportation although the bus and metro are close by. The apartment was close to food stores and restaurants.
The apartment is small but was large enough for 2 people for three days or a longer stay. The apartment is not like a 5 star hotel, but the price for the accommodation is very reasonable. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very quiet.
I thought our hosts were great and would recommend this residence to anyone who is looking for convenient location and comfortable accommodation

I really enjoyed my stay in Rome in Natacias flat. Natascia was a great host who explained really everything to me that I had to know. She even explained the way for finding the best nearest Pizzeria 'round the corner (wich, for a italian pizza is really recommendable!).
The flat not only was it in a superb location with a supermarket right in front of it (where you can get everything needed to cook for yourself with the cooking devices provided by Natascia) and e.g. the non-catholic cemetery (where John Keats is buried) in short walking distance. With the mayor subway station 'Piramide' in it's direct vincinity I was able to get to all the well-known roman ruins and see-worthy sights in minutes or at least was able to quickly connect to the appropriate trains.
Long novel in short: If I'd stay in Rome again, I'd chose Natascia as a host and this flat again over every Hotel, that's for sure.
Natascia's apartment is a wonderful place to stay while enjoying Rome!
The apartment itself is cozy, basically a bedroom with a small kitchen and bath, but it has a gas stove, washing machine, clothesline, small fridge...and piano!
Testaccio is my favorite neighborhood in Rome. It has great markets and restaurants, and is easily walkable to the ancient monuments, Trastavere, and of course just walking along the river is fantastic.
The small and cute apartment is really nice and confortable !
As you can see on the map it is really well located, in the heart of Testaccio, everything is available in less than 5 minutes walking (supermarket, pharmacy, teathre, metro, bus, tram...). Natascia and her husband are really kind, they are always available for everything (even touristic information!). Nothing is missig in the apartment and in winter time it is really warm! It is located at the 2nd floor walk-up, but the steps are really low and ok for everybody.
I hope to come back soon.
A perfect location! We loved being a part of this Italian neighborhood. Vegetables from the market; fresh pasta; cappuccino with the locals every day! The metro was nearby and easy to navigate for the days our feet were too sore to walk. The apartment was small but comfortable and with all that we needed (no oven though so all our cooking was stove top). The piano does take up some space and I would have preferred instead comfortable chairs to sit in at night (my husband and I are a little bit older so we might have spent more time evenings in the apartment). Natascia is a warm, and very accommodating host and did her best to take good care of us. I loved her enthusiasm in welcoming us to the city of Rome.
This was the best place to stay in Rome. Near Trastevere(10 min walk) best restaurants and also Testaccio have super one.
If you realy want see know how Roman live, this is the place. The appartment can`t be better situated and was perfect for us;clean and well organised super markets, butcher, pastry shop and pharmacy around. Also we walk to everywhere; Colosium Vatican Capitol. We just loved it. Thank you so much and hope to be back soon.
I had a great time at Natascia's ! She and and her husband were very welcoming guests, and gave me plenty of information to get to there place ! The appartment is lovely and clean, idealy situated in a great neighbourhood in Rome, very close to the city center ! I recommand Natascia to anyone who wants to visit Rome in the best conditions !
Natascia's apartment in Testaccio was terrific! She helped my through my first time using AirBnb and an somewhat complicated booking situation of my creation. The place was clean, bright with a big window opening over a patio with a peak-a-view of Aventino. A well equipped kitchen that I used to make espresso in the morning and a newly renovated bathroom.
At first I was not sure what to make of the Testaccio area but as I walked around and did some research, I came to really like it. Very easy access to Rome's bus system 1 block away and A LOT of restaurants nearby including Da Bucatino in the same building as the apartment (very good abbrachio).
Other nearby places to eat are Felice e Testaccio, Sorra Lella (very good rigatoni alls carbonara), Flavio al Velavevodette (for Cacio e peppe). Shopping spots musts are the new Mercato di Testaccio and Volpetti.
The apartment is cozy and you are completely protected from the roaring tourism elsewhere in Rome. We walked along the Tiber both to Trastaverre and to the City Center. There are also many many buses to places like the ruins of Rome that are "close" but on busy streets.
The apartment is VERY quiet!
We had some problems with the shower but Lucca and Natascia did their best to fix them right away. We missed the frig but cooked a very good meal with pasta from the store on the other side of the piazza (now under repair so no market right now). We also went to Piazzeria Reme close-by recommended by another Airbnb guest. No tourists there either!
Do not miss the power plant museum nearby Centrale MontiMartini and the non-catholic cemetary with graves of Keats, Shelly and Gramsci also a short walk.
