Our apt is perfect for 2, comfy and quiet.
Close to buses/metro and trains, at walking distance from best sightseeings and typical restaurants! Here you enjoy the real Roman atmosphere! Come and see!!!

The Space

Our apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Testaccio, where the true Romans live!!!

It is on the second floor (no lift) of a typical popular building (called case di ringhiera);
the entrance is from a common balcony and in the first room there are: kitchen and bathroom (with a very peculiar shower decorated with original Murano glass mosaics!).
In the main room there is the double bed ( eventually separated in two single ones), cupboard, desk, tv and...A VERTICAL PIANO where my granny, concertist, used to practice!!!

The whole apartment has parquet on the floor (even the bathroom!!!) and has been completely designed by the famous Parioli Architect Mr Sambo!

The position of our apartment is perfect (very close to the banks of the Tiber river, from where you can walk 'till the centre without traffic and pollution) and strategical:
in 5 min walking distance you reach the metro-underground (line B), station Piramide, to get to the main train station Termini in 15 min, to the Colosseum in 5, to Circo Massimo in 3, etc...
or take the train to the main airport Fiumicino or the trains to the Thyrrenian sea (in 30 minutes in Ostia and Ostia Antica).
Or you can take buses to Trastevere, S.Peter, the Synagoge and Getto area, Piazza Venezia Square...all in few minutes!

Right in front of the apartment, a supermarket, around the corner other supermarkets, vegetables and fruit shops and all around... ROME'S MOST TYPICAL AND FAMOUS RESTAURANTS and PIZZERIE, vinerie and enoteche (wine places)...as Remo (pizzeria in piazza santa Maria Liberatrice, the best pizza of the area) and Il Cantinone (restaurant-pizzeria just around the corner from us, with delicious typical roman and italian dishes).
Plenty of theaters, cinemas, discos and pubs (thanks God a bit further away!!!)
And in few min walking distance the famous"Mercato del Testaccio"!!!

Our vertical piano for music lovers could eventually be used UNDER PREVIOUS REQUEST!

The apartment is perfect for a couple, or a couple with a baby.

Come and visit us!!!

Guest Access

The whole apartment, internet wifi 24/7, heating/air conditioning, satellite tv, hair dryer, electrical oven, toaster, cofee machine, fridge and washingmachine.

Interaction with Guests

We always try as much as possible to do personally the check in (my husband or myself) and even if we live in a different part of the city, we always try to stay in touch with our clients.
A spare pair of keys is with our building custodian Naden that lives at the ground floor.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is lovely, relly typical roman, quiet but at the same time full of life!
Restaurants, bars, pubs, pizzerie (do not miss to try Remo on Piazza Santa Maria Liberatrice, the best pizza around) theaters, the local market of testaccio and the flee market on Sundays on the other side of the river (Portaportese) are true life experiences!

Getting around

We are 2 minutes walking distance from bus stops, 5 min to metro station Piramide and local train to Ostia beach and Ostia Antica, 15 min fron train station Ostiense.
Not to mention that on foot you can pratically reach everything (Piramide, acatholic cemetery, Portaportese flee market, Trastevere, Circo Massimo, Colosseo, ghetto and synagogue, foro romano...

Other Things to Note

HOW TO REACH US:

From Fiumicino Airport:
there are 4 ways to reach us:

-by taxi; costs 48 euros the whole ride and takes approx 40-55 minutes.

-by train;
1) Express train Leonardo Da Vinci to Rome Termini our central station, costs 15 euros per person, departs every 30 minutes and is a non stop train (takes approx 45 minutes).

(From termini station;
take the metro line B direction Laurentina and get off at the 4th stop, called Piramide; from there, walk towards the Pyramid and pass it, walk along via Marmorata, half way down turn left and take the parallel road, Via Luca della Robbia, number 80 bell number 220 name La Valle Wiemuth.
Or take the bus number 75 direction Trastevere and get off at the 3rd stop of via Marmorata.
2) Local train to Orte or Fara Sabina, get off in Roma Ostiense, costs 8 euros per person, leaves every 15 minutes, takes about 45-50 minutes...exit the station and walk towards the pyramid and as before or take the bus 280 dcrom the terminal, that is the station Ostiense, and get off at via Marmorata, stop Marmorata-Vanvitelli.
Or with the same train, get off in Roma Trastevere and from the square in front of the train station take from the terminal bus number 3 and get off at the first stop of via marmorata right after passing the river.

-by bus:
exit the arrivals area in Fiumicino, walk right till the end, there are several bus companies going to Rome Termini, as TAM SIT Shiaffini. They all cost between 4 and 6 euros per person, PLEASE AVOID TERRAVISION, buses not in good conditions!

I suggest to take the buses to Roma Termini and then the metro to Piramide or the local train to Ostiense station and walk 10-15 minutes to our apartment!

From Ciampino:
- taxi:30 euros per whole ride and 30-40 minutes to reach us.

-local buses to Termini station and as above from Termini to our apartment.

My mobile numbers are (phone number hidden) and (phone number hidden).

  • I booked Natascia's apartment for my daughter and her boyfriend for their four night stay in Rome. They really enjoyed their stay and said the apartment was very pretty and comfortable and stayed nice and cool in the summer heat. The location was fantastic - walking distance to many sights. Very close to good restaurants and a supermarket. Natascia was an excellent host. She responded to email inquiries quickly and provided lots of helpful advice about restaurants, transportation, and shopping. I would highly recommend staying at Natascia's place!

  • Natascia and Luca's place is great and located near bus stops that will get you anywhere in Rome. Luca helped us with our luggage when we arrive and they were very flexible with check in. We had a great stay there and the apartment had all the amenities one would need while traveling. Natascia is a great host and even checked in with us to make sure we were doing alright. She also recommended places for us to see and places for food and dessert! We wish we could've stayed in Rome longer.

  • OK here goes stayed in this lovely small apartment for 3 weeks and could not recommend it more. Having read most of the reviews for Natascia and this property there is little I can add that has not been said before.

As I was working the Wifi worked very well.

So I will try and give some local information that I found out about during my stay and made life a easier.
Testaccio is a great area, vibrant full of normal shops, restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, bread and cake shops, Butchers, Post Office ice cream cafes etc.

Mercato del Testaccio moved in 2012 it is about 5 minutes walk away and well worth a visit.

Just around the corner is what i can only call a family run Canteen eat in or take away freshly made food, roast chicken, potatoes with veg 6 Euros typical.

Main road is Marmorata loads of buses to everywhere, No 23 goes to Castel St Angelo direct along opposite side of Tiber, No 716 goes to Teatro Marcello short walk then to Vittoriano etc. In the other direction Buses all go to Ostiense Station ( Piramide Metro), do not take bus to Main train station its 30 minutes of bone shaking hell, take the Metro its easy.
From Ostiense Station take local train to Old Port area or Lido, 1.50 Euro ticket one way.

  • Natascia`s apartman proved to be exactly what my wife and me were looking for during our 4 days in Rome: Perfect location(walking distance from main city atractions and well conected to public transport as well), Quite ! (after long day going around Rome, you just need a peacefull night rest), True Roman neighborhood (cafe every morning at "Elene', and a glass of wine in the afternoon) and, last but not least, Clean!!!
Apartman is perfect for a couple. Nice designed bathroom, perfect kitchen, double bad comfy enough for a man 192cm tall and a lady of an average size :) Natascia is a great host! Although she couldn`t meet us personally, she made sure that someone waited for us, and during all 4 days we were in contact with her by phone and SMS.The great thing was that she allows us to check out late in the evening, since we had a late night flight. We are so gratefull for that !!!
