  • Simon and Rosa have been superb hosts! They have given me everything I've needed and been more than accommodating. The location is in a quiet area with lots of shops, supermarkets, beauticians, pharmacies and hairdressers nearby, as well as some wonderful bakeries. I feel really safe in the neighbourhood and it's so quiet in the evenings! The house is super clean and I have decided to stay here until I leave Granada in a few months! A great place, lots of space, welcoming hosts and I would recommend Rosa's BNB to anyone!

  • Rosa's bed and breakfast was wonderful! We could have breakfast as early or as late as we wanted wich was great for planning out visit. The room was spacious, and we even had a little couryard that we shared with only 1 guest! Rosa was helpful when we had questions and always very friendly. The only negative was that the bnb was about a 25 minute walk to the center, but it was nice being in a non touristic part of the city - refreshing. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!

  • My wife and I stayed at Rosa's for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rosa is an extremely pleasant host. She gave us helpful hints on what to visit and how to navigate the bus system. Her place is not in the center of the city, but there are several bus lines within a two minutes walk that only take 10 minutes to reach most of the sites. The room we stayed in was adequate in size, had a comfy bed, and we only had to share the bathroom with one other room.

    Suerte !

  • Rosa was a delightful host who wanted to make sure my stay in Granada was special. The house is lovely with great architectural features and breakfast was excellent.

Rosa and her friend even invited me out for tapas and showed me around the neighborhood making me feel at ease in Spain.

  • My stay at Rosa's home was very comfortable. Rosa included me with her friends when they went out for tapas. The room was spacious with a small courtyard. The bathroom was shared with just one other person. The breakfast was very complete. The house is about a twenty minute walk or a short trip by s nearby bus. There are a variety of restaurants and stories in the area. I would highly recommend Rosa's home.

  • Rosa was such a lovely woman. Very kind and supportive. House was clean and pretty decorated. You can have good breakfast. Location it is bit far from touristic place but also it is good to see and go the restaurant of natives. And if you can borrow and use bus card, it is not a problem.

  • Rosa and Simon are friendly and superb hosts and my friend and I had a comfortable stay here! The weather was pleasant throughout our stay (in May) so walking to and fro the city center wasn't an issue for us; it's nice to stay in a residential area away from the touristy action and Carrefour is nearby too, which was convenient.

About
Mi name is Rosa, born and bred in Andalusia, and I have been renting out rooms in my house for twenty years, which has given me the opportunity to get to know people from all around the world and from many different cultures. I love speaking to people from other countries and as I studied Spanish language and literature at the University of Seville I enjoy helping them improve their language skills and seeing how they progress during their stay with me. I also speak some English and French. My guests quickly feel at home here and some have become good friends with whom I still have contact to this day. They come back again and again. During their stay many appreciate going out with me and my circle of friends - shopping, for 'tapas', to bars and cafes, or for nocturnal visits to clubs and discos. There are also opportunities to go on excursions at weekends, to the mountains or to the beach, and many visitors have also taken part in language exchanges - you arrange to meet a local person and spend half your time speaking Spanish and half your own maternal language: English is very popular of course. You cn see what some of my guests have said about their stay on the recommendations page of my site Rosa's Homestay in Granada. I look forward to seeing you soon in my - or shoud I say 'our'? - house. Simon is my best friend. [SEE PHOTO 2.] He's British-English and he has lived in Granada for twenty years so he knows the city better than most local people. He is fascinated by local history and is particularly knowledgeable about the local poet Federico Garcia Lorca. He is happy to share his knowledge and interest with like-minded people. His Spanish is fluent, as is his German. He lived in Aachen for many years before he came to Spain. WE HAVE OUR OWN MEETING PLACE: TETE-ENCUENTROS KARMA. RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF GRANADA, WE CAN MEET THERE TO CHILL, LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC, FOR CULTURAL ACTIVITIES, PARTIES, AND ABOVE ALL TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS, LEARN NEW LANGUAGES VIA LANGUAGE EXCHANGES, AND WE’VE GOT WIFI,,,,,,,,,,,AND MOST IMPORTANT, ENJOY ANTONIO’S EXQUISITE CUISINE,,,,MMMM AND AT VERY REASONABLE PRICES. [SEE PHOTOS 3 + 4.] WE ARE ALSO A GROUP OF FRIENDS WHO YOU CAN JOIN TO TAKE PART IN SEVERAL ACTIVITES SUCH AS: GUIDED WALKS THROUGH THE GRANADA TOURISTS DON’T KNOW ABOUT (FREE), TREKKING (FREE), MEETING UP AND GOING OUT WITH PEOPLE OF YOUR OWN AGE, GETTING TO KNOW SPANISH CULTURE (FREE), TRIPS SHORT AND LONG, ORGANIZED AND GUIDED (SHARED COSTS), WE WILL INTRODUCE YOU TO PEOPLE OF YOUR OWN AGE FOR LANGUAGE EXCHANGES,,,WALKS,,,NIGHTS OUT,,,MAKING SPANISH FRIENDS. AND OF COURSE, ROSA WILL GO WITH YOU,,,,ACCOMPANY YOU, (SHE SPEAKS ENGLISH AND FRENCH),,,,SHE’LL INTRODUCE YOU TO PEOPLE WORTH KNOWING,,,,,,,,,,,,,,AND SHE’LL HELP YOU GET TO KNOW GRANADA BETTER (DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF DAYS YOU SPEND IN ROSA’S HOME; THESE PLANS ARE FOR LONG-TERM VISITORS WHO STAY WITH US FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK. MY MOTTO IS: THE FRIENDS OF MY FRIENDS CAN BECOME MY FRIENDS,,,,,
