We enjoyed our stay at Bonnie's place! Bonnie was helpful, responsive, and really flexible about our arrival & departure times. The space was clean, although a bit on the sparse side, especially in regards to the kitchen equipment. One little note, however, is that I wish there had been notice that there was an added fee for using the hot tub. I would have much preferred that to just be included in the cost upfront.
Overall, Bonnie's place is a decent value and our group had a great weekend in Tahoe!
The house was clean and as advertised. Hot Tub was warm when we got there. There is an additional $25 cleaning fee to use the hot tub, which I did not originally know about upon booking. Bonnie was quick to make arrangements for a last minute stay and was upfront about the added fee on our first contact. Overall, it was good place to stay for 4 friends.
The house was a great value. The living/dining room was spacious. The hot tub was awesome. Only downside would be the bath water - we could never get it to the right temperature; it was either burning hot or the hot water ran out and we had cold showers.
However, really awesome value - great location.
When we booked a last minute trip to Tahoe for our kids' ski week, Bonnie was incredibly responsive and helped make our trip possible! The house was warm, clean, and kid & adult friendly. The neighborhood was quiet, but close to all the restaurants and stores in South Lake Tahoe. The hot tub came in handy after skiing all day at nearby Heavenly. There was a nice wood stove with tons of firewood, but unfortunately we didn't have a chance to use it during our brief stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Bonnie's place. Can't wait for our next visit. Thanks Bonnie!
This place is perfect for a family getaway, we had a blast and the hottub made it so fun!!! we hope to stay again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at Bonnie's Tahoe House!!!! It was a perfect weekend get-away for a group of friends in their 20's. Plenty of room for all of us to chill comfortably on the large couch in the living room and play games at dining table. We cooked breakfast and dinner there - kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans etc.. Everything was on and heated when we got up there Friday night - including the Hot tub! Bonnie was very pleasant and easy to get a hold of. When we were getting close to running out of toilet paper and paper towels - she had someone deliver more to us within an hour of us calling! The only reason for 4 stars was like other reviews said - not all beds are equal quality. It sleeps 5 comfortably. Any more than 5 and people might have to use the uncomfortable "pull-out" bed. However - our group of friends like to go up to Tahoe for the experience not for the sleep so it was not a big issue for us. We would definitely book Bonnie's Tahoe House again!
We had a great time at Bonnie's place in Tahoe! The hot tub was hot, the house was comfortable, and the kitchen was decently outfitted so we could cook for ourselves for the weekend. If only there had been more snow!
I'd recommend asking for the air mattress to be inflated. We missed that that was available, and it would have been better than the pull-out beds. The regular beds were fine (and the master bed was excellently soft), but the couch and game room pull-out beds were not the most comfortable.
Overall, though, the place was great. Having Netflix and Amazon available on the Roku was excellent for spending evenings in! We'd definitely come back here if it were available again next time.
We drove from San Francisco and arrived around 10:30pm on a Friday after stopping for dinner. The house was warm and cozy and the hot tub was hot. My group started a fire in the wood stove and let it burn throughout the night.
In the morning, everyone got up hazily and one by one discovered the snow was falling. Some of us grabbed the boards and headed up the mountain. It was the best day of snowboarding Tahoe had seen in many weeks.
When we got back. the remaining party was sufficiently relaxed reading a book or other leisurely activities. Everyone took a power nap in one of the many beds available before heading out to for dinner and gambling. The cab ride from the cabin was something like $12.
After arriving back to the cabin, we brought out some playing cards, drank, took hot tub breaks, and told stories throughout the night.
Sunday morning, we all wish we had booked more time! Great snow, great proximity to Reno, but with way more affordable accommodations.
The amenities had friendly instructions. There was a brief hiccup getting the keg tapped because the tubes were frozen. Bedrooms are of various size and bed quality which complicated who got to sleep where.
There was a box of fresh blankets (which came in handy). We never ran out of hot water for showers.
Unless you have an Xbox Live account with Netflix. I would recommend bringing a TV output and a computer to play movies. We used the Roku box provided to play music and watch television.
Overall, a great place to have an awesome weekend in Tahoe.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Bonnie's cabin. The cabin was warm and comfortable and well stocked for the kids as well. It was wonderful being able to bring our dog with us too! We were very conveniently located, the hot tub was great and Bonnie was easy to get a hold of and very helpful. Highly recommended!
The living room and kitchen are charming, but our stay was less than perfect. The beds were uncomfortable, the bath tub was dirty, and the entrance to the laundry room is an accident waiting to happen. The laundry room is behind the kitchen and the entrance is off an unlit alcove. There were invisible stairs leading to the laundry room which took me entirely by surprise. The alcove needs a light. This was definitely not worth what was being charged.
