Cute and comfortable house in the woods! Close to great beaches, restaurants, shopping, and most of quiet! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Bonnie was very nice and responsive, but overall the house wasn't quite what we were expecting. It has a lot of potential because most of the issues can be fixed. For instance, both toilets kept running so we had to keep jiggling the handle or take off the top to fix the front bathroom toilet; the kitchen faucet was very loose so we had to be careful with it; the fan in the dining room didn't work and there were hardly any screens on the windows so it was tough to cool the place down on a warm night; lamps were missing bulbs; and, we had trouble with the wi-fi the first day (Bonnie did offer to have the cable company come over the next morning though, which we appreciated). As mentioned, this place has potential so if everything was fixed and the grounds were better maintained, it could be a really good place. The living room/dining room area is spacious and comfortable to hangout in; the hot tub is a bonus; and the location is good with a delicious pizza place a couple blocks down. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Overall, our family enjoyed our stay. We liked that there are 3 separate rooms, that one of them has a second smaller bed for a child, we enjoyed the hot tub; also the house is on a nice street, 2 minutes away from the Y and groceries. The kitchen had many plates and glasses and a big dining table, enough for a big group. A few disadvantages we found were: we had some issues with WiFi availability, carpet in the master bedroom was somewhat untidy (not vacuumed recently), and there were damp towels in the dryer. No big issues, and the owner is very responsive. Would stay here again.
Bonnie was super responsive before and during our trip. The house was perfect for a large group, with ample sleeping space, a hot tub, a gas grill, and a kitchen stocked with pots and pans. There was also a big dining table where we could enjoy meals together. The house is conveniently located – right down the street from Raley's (and Safeway a bit further away). It's a 5 minute drive to the South side of the lake, and a 10-15 minute drive to Stateline and Zephyr Cove. My friends and I had a great Tahoe summer weekend here!
This house is exactly as described/pictured and met all the needs of our group of 8. It snowed while we were there, but the hot tub and heater kept us all plenty warm. It's not the biggest house, yet at the same time makes everyone feel more than comfortable and provided us with everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and in a great location. A cab ride to the state line was maybe 10 mins. There's a Raley's just 2 mins from the house, making it extremely convenient to get anything you forget or need last minute. The Xbox 360 and Roku helped to keep us entertained. Wifi worked just fine too. I needed a little help raising the temperature on the hot tub, but Bonnie replied instantly to my text with some simple instructions. There really wasn't anything missing from our stay. We all enjoyed ourselves and would, without a doubt, come back to stay at this lovely home! Thank you Bonnie!
Stayed at Bonnie's house for a weekend get away for my birthday with family. We enjoyed our stay. House was clean, hot tub was perfect temperature and ready for use. We used the bbq to cook most our food which worked out well because the house is a little light on pots and pans although there was plenty of eating utensils. Heater works well in bedrooms but the living room didn't seem to warm up. Over all we had a great time and would stay here again
We had a great time during our stay! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, which felt great after long days of skiing or hiking. Bonnie also gave us a great recommendation for a pet sitter, which made it a lot easier for us to get out for ski trips. There were also some very nice wooded areas within a couple of blocks of the house that were great for dog walks.
About the Host, Bonnie
I live in beautiful San Francisco, CA. I love lazy days in the sunshine in the summer time and lounging with a cold beverage by a body of water; beach, pool, river, it doesn't matter. In the winter, I love snowboarding! I also love to travel, find interesting foods to eat. I'm an avid bargain shopper and group vacation planner. My greatest love is for my family and my baby boy.
