Newly built tiny house finished in June 2015. Master loft sleeps 2 on the memory foam Queen mattress. Small loft has a foldout single-sleeper foam pad that fits a shorter-sized adult which we make up into a bed upon request, otherwise it remains a reading/lounge area with no sheets. Kitchen has a large toaster oven, (can fit a pizza) 2 burner cook top, all cooking utensils you'll need, small fridge, eating nook, couch, bathroom, TV w/Netflix, outdoor patio, fire pit, bbq & more!

The space
Queen memory foam mattress is located in main loft, and there is a single sleeper foam pad in the smaller reading-nook loft. This single sleeping spot will only be made up into a bed with sheets for a rental of two people IF REQUESTED beforehand. Otherwise it will be set up for lounging and reading during your stay, as we will assume the 2 guests are sharing queen bed. Kitchen has a mini fridge with a freezer, 2 burner stove top, toaster oven, coffee maker, french press and all the plates, pots & pans, silverware and mugs needed to make and enjoy your meals. We also have some spices, condiments and cooking extras in the kitchen that you are free to use. Couch and small dining area for two also located on main floor with kitchen. Propane BBQ, picnic table and fire pit on patio outside. A few different bikes are available to use during your stay, if you want to explore and walk or pedal around the island and they are located in the grey and green Rubbermaid shed near the tiny house along with bike pump and helmets.

On island food options: The main island store at the ferry landing is currently open Seven days a week, and serves food, beer and wine, and sells limited grocery items. The store is a fun place to sit at the bar and chat with local islanders, or sit outside in the beer garden on sunny days and watch the boats go by.

There is also a small store at the Guemes Island Resort on the North tip of the island, that sells beer, wine, and alcohol, and limited food items (like frozen pizzas!) It is open daily from 9 - 7pm and is a 15 minute drive from the Tiny house.

Guest access
Before you arrive you will receive your personal key code to use during your stay to lock and unlock the front door as you come and go immediately after booking, so make sure to read your follow up email upon completion with many details about directions to tiny house and check-in.

Other things to note
This tiny house is also a makers house, featuring curated items made from artists and craftsman. It is a unique way to showcase handmade goods that you can use and admire during your stay. We have a notebook filled with info on where to find them online and in stores if you wish to purchase any for yourself.

Guemes island is a wonderful place to explore. Walk, hike, ride your bike, or enjoy fantastic beach walks. It's a great place to enjoy nature. There are many eagles and deer to see, and the smell of ocean air is all around you.

If you want to stay cozy inside, enjoy a large selection of dvd's we have on hand in the tiny house for you to enjoy on the flat screen tv.

We have wireless internet, but please keep in mind this is ISLAND INTERNET, meaning our speeds here are nothing like a city and sometimes (not too often) service slows and cuts out intermittently.

Guemes is home to 650 full time year-round residents and has a wonderful island community. We have one main store on the island that provides amenities you may need like beer and wine, food items and gas right above the ferry landing. Open 7 days a week. There are two large grocery stores in Anacortes, and we recommend buying your food items at one of them before catching the ferry to Guemes. The Guemes Resort on North Beach also has a "tiny" store where you can find the best selection of beer and wine on the island.

My husband and I both live and work through the woods just up the driveway from the Tiny House and usually will be home to answer any questions you have unless we have specified otherwise. We have a woodworking studio built using two 40' shipping containers and a screen printing studio on site, so keep in mind the random car will sometimes pass-by heading up to the main house during the day picking up deliveries or employees heading to work. This is infrequent but worth noting.

Hello! I am an Illustrator for my screen printing company living & working on Guemes Island with my husband Carson who is a woodworker, and our 3 year old daughter Matia. We both have our studios on the property and work from home. We are easy going people who love to build and make things in our spare time and really enjoy meeting new people. Our tiny house is located in the woods on our 5.5 acre property, so we are readily available to help with any questions you may have, but far enough away to provide you with a stay that's all your own.

During your stay
We live further up into the woods, up the same driveway from where you will be staying. We will wave if we drive by but basically we will not be bothering you during your stay. The place is yours! If we are needed for any questions, we're just a phone call or text/message away.
