I stayed in the flat with my two teenaged children and we had a wonderful vacation. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Rome, near Campo de Fiori and Piazza Farnese with Trastevere right across the river (which you can see from some of the rooms). The building is beautiful and historic, but you should be aware that it is an old building and the apartment is not fully modernized. But it is roomy and comfortable and the owners met us with the keys right on schedule when we arrived. Very good option for a family!
This apartment was wonderful! It was In a great location. We have three kids and there was more than plenty of room for all of us. The air condition help a ton with the heat. Matteo was a lot of help he met us at the apartment and got us settled. I would stay here again.
We had a great stay in Lia's flat. It was on the third floor by American standards, so it is up two flights of stairs, but there is an elevator. The building is in the best location for sight-seeing. I walked everywhere since it is so close to all the points of interest. Lia provides you with towels, and there is a hair straightener and hair dryer. You have to bring your own toothpaste, conditioner, and shampoo, however. There are also maps and pamphlets about the area, and she has made a notebook of recommendations for shopping, eating, etc. The flat is quite large and each of the 3 bedrooms is fairly spacious. It is an old building, and very beautiful. The family that rents the flat was very easy-going and nice, and someone was waiting in the flat to let us in when we arrived.
Our group of 6 very much enjoyed our 8-day stay in the center of Rome. The apartment was large and reasonably well-equipped, with beautiful french doors facing the courtyard. Our hosts were very helpful. But by far the best thing about the place is its location. The apartment puts you within walking distance of almost every major site and neighborhood. Literally five minutes from Trastevere and Campo de' Fiori, ten from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, fifteen from Testaccio, and the Vatican, twenty from the Spanish Steps, the Colloseum, and twenty-five from the Borghese Gallery. It is also right on a small bus line.
If you do have more than 5 people, one will be sleeping on the pull out couch, which is not the most comfortable we've ever seen. And we wished the kitchen had been larger and a little better equipped.
All in all, we would certainly go back there, and heartily recommend it.
