Fully furnished design studio apartment, recently refurbished, wonderful views, Internet Wi-Fi and A/C included. Located in a typical, very venetian area.
Very quiet, sunny, centrally located, fully renovated, close to the historic center, 15 minutes from St. Mark's square. Tipical Venetian area, lots of character. tudio is located in the the Giudecca. The Giudecca is a true, very venetian "sestiere" (neighborhood), with a low touristic presence yet very esaily reachable. The Accademia for example is at 10 minutes, San Marco 15 Minutes. What makes this place very special is its proximity to the water, as well as an amazing view on the cith just outside your window. You can jyust sit back and relax in a very quiet atmosphere and look at the view of the city. The studio measures 36 sqm. It comprises a kitchenette, a bedroom and bathroom. Its very large windows ensure that the studio is always full of light at any given time of the day. The studio apartment comes fully furnished apartment, with a complete set of amenities. there have been high standard renovation works undertaken in 2003 and just refurbished in January 2014. The studio is composed by an entrance/living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. Internet Wi-Fi and A/C included
Museums and tourist attractions nearby (San Marco, Accademia, San Rocco, Zattere). Very nice walks in the area. Very well connected to public transport and very close to Piazzale Roma, Train station, San Marco, Accademia

The Giudecca Island is located only a few minutes drive by Vaporetto (waterbus) from Saint Mark’s Square in the south of Venice. There are many reasons not to miss out a trip to this island when visiting Venice. One of the main reasons is obvious – it provides the most famous view over the entire city. Nowhere else will one obtain such a view over Doge’s Palace, Saint Mark’s Square, the votive church Santa Maria della Salute and the entrance to the Grand Canal.
Once one has satisfied their appetite and seen enough of the first reason one can turn their back on the Bacino and explore the island itself. It is small – measuring only approximately two kilometres in length and some 300 metres in width. For this manageable area La Giudecca has amazing things to offer and aside from this it has often featured in German literature. The most impressive building on the island is without doubt the ‘Il Redentore’ (Church of the most holy Redeemeer). The architect of this balanced structure is no other than Andrea Palladio who began its construction in the 16th Century. Just like the church – Santa Maria della Salute that lies opposite, ‘Il Redentore’ is also a votive church that marked the end of a plague epidemic. In addition on La Giudecca one will find ‘Sant Eufemia’ – one of the oldest churches in Venice that dates back to the 9th century. The third of the sacral churches is the ‘Chiesa delle Zitelle’.
All vaporetto (boat) stops just 150 meters from the apartment
great authentic calm venetian area. Very calm apartment with an amazing view. The best thing to do is to have breakfast in front of the window and see boats passing in front of you as you sip your mornings' espresso coffee!
Fu un bellissimo soggiorno. Appart ed acogienza meravigliosi. La mamma di Marc ci ha ricevuto prontamente e con voglia di aiutarci. Sicuramente ritorneremo e sugeriremo agli amici brasiliani. Grazie a voi. Leo e Gigi
This apartment has one of the best views of Venice you could wish for and it's possible to spend significant amounts of time just enjoying the benefits of the location.
However, the apartment would benefit from some serious attention as too many things are broken, stained, inoperative, uncomfortable, held together with tape (the fridge and the shower) or just old and exhausted!
This being Venice, it's unreasonable to expect that a ground floor apartment is not going to suffer from damp problems, but the lack of air flow through the apartment results in excessive and very noticeable damp-related issues and smells. The small dehumidifier really has its work cut out to make any significant impression.
Having stayed in Venice on many occasions, it was disappointing that this apartment fell well below the standards we would expect from a property being rented out at this rate.
What an amazing situation!!! The details for the apartment don't really do it justice - it's a ground floor converted shop, opening directly onto the walkway along the harbour with views across the harbour to St Marks - we spent a lot of our three evenings just sitting on chairs outside watching the evening Venetian parade up and down, with the odd mega cruise ship passing for added interest! The window into the apartment is extremely good one-way mirror glass - lots of fun sitting inside watching passers-by checking their hair as they pass, oblivious to our smirking at them from inside!
Marc's mother met us at the apartment and left us with bread, milk, fruit etc which was appreciated - we enjoyed tracking down the local supermarket (not easy!) and being able to cook in the apartment rather than being forced to eat out all the time.
Very easy to find... just 100m or so from Palanca vaporetto stop along the edge of the harbour.
Downside... it's not a big apartment and is starting to get a little tired around the edges - fine for us (we'd been walking for ten days across the Dolomites so were happy for a simple base) but if you're looking for something glamorous, look elsewhere.
The acid test.... would we go back.... certainly!!
A great apartment with an espectacular view. The interior have been recently reformed and the air conditioner is of great value! However, there is sometimes too much humidity and bad smells in the bathroom.
Exactly as described 'Giudecca, amazing views of Venice' the location was great, looking at all the wonderful things Venice has to offer but still peaceful. Shopping-easy, transport-easy,restaurants-easy. We were met by Marc's father who was delightful and helpful. Leaving treats for us at the apartment was an extra nice idea and saved us having to race out and find food. We found the air-conditioner an essential luxury for a summer in Venice. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay in next time we visit Venice.
One of the greatest view of Venice ! Confortable, very quiet. All accomodities near by. We had an efficient reception by Freddie, housekeeper, waiting for us at the vaporetto station and we also enjoyed the fact that we did not have to go to the grocery store after our flight. Thank you to our host. Wifi works good, for my Ipad and IPod, I had to download vodafone mobile Wi-Fi free application. Vaporetto station in one min walk. We would come back anytime.
Marc was very accessible and proposed to move us to another apartment for the duration of our stay. The apartment is in a lovely location, with a nice view. Unfortunately
there were some issues with the internet. Marc was very accessible and
moved us to another apartment of higher standard (at 400 eur/night, whereas
we were paying 120/night for the studio) for the duration of our stay
What an amazing place. Great views of Venice, and so convenient for getting around with ferries leaving from either stop every 10 mins or so. Thanks for the stocked cupboards as well as fruit, cake and prosecco and beer in the fridge as well.
This (website hidden) was exceptional. Although a bit small, it was a good size for a couple, and boasts unbelievable views of Venice. It is literally directly on the water. The vaporetto stop is a very short distance away, and will take you across the Giudecca Canal (about two minutes). San Marco Plaza is three vaporetto stops away (around 10 mins), and is extremely convenient to get to. There are also a few great places to eat and drink at on Giudecca island itself in close proximity to the apartment. Marc's father met us at the dock, and was extremely helpful, cluing us in on the transportation system, and giving us great advice on local places to visit. He also gave us a delicious Italian cake, and a bottle of prosecco as a welcoming gift. We would certainly stay at this apartment again, and had a great time! Communication was great, both before and during the rental period.
Picco Bello.
