Fully furnished design studio apartment, recently refurbished, wonderful views, Internet Wi-Fi and A/C included. Located in a typical, very venetian area.
Very quiet, sunny, centrally located, fully renovated, close to the historic center, 15 minutes from St. Mark's square. Tipical Venetian area, lots of character. The studio is located in the the Giudecca: a true, very venetian "sestiere" (neighborhood), with a low touristic presence yet very esaily reachable.
The Accademia for example is only at 10 minutes, San Marco 15 Minutes. What makes this place very special is its proximity to the water, as well as an amazing view on the cith just outside your window. You can jyust sit back and relax in a very quiet atmosphere and look at the view of the city.
The studio measures 36 sqm. It comprises a kitchenette, a bedroom and bathroom. Its very large windows ensure that the studio is always full of light at any given time of the day. The studio apartment comes fully furnished apartment, with a complete set of amenities. there have been high standard renovation works undertaken in 2003 and just refurbished in January 2014. The studio is composed by an entrance/living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. Internet Wi-Fi and A/C included
Museums and tourist attractions nearby (San Marco, Accademia, San Rocco, Zattere). Very nice walks in the area. Very well connected to public transport and very close to Piazzale Roma, Train station, San Marco, Accademia

The Giudecca Island is located only a few minutes drive by Vaporetto (waterbus) from Saint Mark’s Square in the south of Venice. There are many reasons not to miss out a trip to this island when visiting Venice. One of the main reasons is obvious – it provides the most famous view over the entire city. Nowhere else will one obtain such a view over Doge’s Palace, Saint Mark’s Square, the votive church Santa Maria della Salute and the entrance to the Grand Canal.
Once one has satisfied their appetite and seen enough of the first reason one can turn their back on the Bacino and explore the island itself. It is small – measuring only approximately two kilometres in length and some 300 metres in width. For this manageable area La Giudecca has amazing things to offer and aside from this it has often featured in German literature. The most impressive building on the island is without doubt the ‘Il Redentore’ (Church of the most holy Redeemeer). The architect of this balanced structure is no other than Andrea Palladio who began its construction in the 16th Century. Just like the church – Santa Maria della Salute that lies opposite, ‘Il Redentore’ is also a votive church that marked the end of a plague epidemic. In addition on La Giudecca one will find ‘Sant Eufemia’ – one of the oldest churches in Venice that dates back to the 9th century. The third of the sacral churches is the ‘Chiesa delle Zitelle’.
All vaporetto (boat) stops just 150 meters from the apartment
Other Things to Note
great authentic calm venetian area. Very calm apartment with an amazing view. The best thing to do is to have breakfast in front of the window and see boats passing in front of you as you sip your mornings' espresso coffee!
Venice is a very quiet city, with no background noise, so loud music is heard very far away. Guests are encouraged to be mindful of neighbours, especially before 8 AM and after 8 PM. In Venice there is a system for recycling paper/cardboard, glass, plastic, so guests are very strongly encouraged to dispose of garbage in the appropriate sites and time slots. Garbage is collected outside the door in the street before 8 AM.
We had a great experience in Venice. We had a change in apartment so I can't comment on the apartment we had picked but the one we were give. It was near San Marco and very central. The landlady was really nice and prepared fruits and breakfast for us. The apartment was central so we had an easier way getting to places. But the apartment had a bad smell from drainage I think. And it was increasingly unpleasant over the stay. It will be nice if they can sort this out.
Aucun commentaire sur ce studio : pour cause d'acqua alta nous avons été relogé dans un appartement à 2 pas ... et au 2° étage!
Dommage pour la vue mais l'appartement et l'accueil de Michel étaient parfaits.
We were thrilled to arrive to the rooms on the Giudecca they were so perfect for us - my son wanted particularly to be on the water and these rooms could not have had a better picture window on to the canal - looking at the Dorsoduro and Zatere -we were greeted by Marc's mother so kindly with a big bowl of fruit and shown the kitchen filled with things for breakfast .We slept well and did eat breakfast in front of the window watching the bustling life on the water ., travel was easy from there and well it's a place I would rather keep secret than tell to everyone - I hope I can return and that it will not be changed ..
This was a wonderful place to stay. The host, his assistant, and his helpful parents (he was away when we arrived so they pitched in), couldn't have been kinder or more thoughtful: bread, juice, jam and fruit plus coffee and tea left for us for breakfast, very helpful list of sights and restaurants, very clean, very comfortable. An added and unexpected plus was the street scene, like a little movie, as we sat and watched the canal-side walkers as we ate breakfast. Because of a mirrored (from the outside) window (we could see out but they couldn't see in) we had a hilarious show of people walking by, stopping to preen in the mirror. We loved the restaurants Marc recommended and both the assistant and host's mother did yeoman service when they found one of our iPhones and let us know (we thought it had been pick pocketed) and agreed to FedEx it back to us in the US. Lovely people, great place to stay.
This apartment was PERFECT. My partner and I loved it and hated leaving the amazing view of the Giudecca Canal and the gorgeous buildings of Venice. The apartment was clean, as pictured - and Marc's father met us as planned and showed us around making sure we were fully comfortable. The fridge was stocked with beer, champagne, beautiful grapes, fresh oranges, milk, coffee, bread, jams and butter. The bed is very comfortable and the apartment is in a quiet location. We enjoyed lunches and dinners in Giudecca as the water bus system is so efficient we zipped around and back easily. Everyone on Giudecca was friendly and we got a small taste of what life is really like in this beautiful place. Walk around this island and enjoy the side and back streets....visit the churches here as well. If we are ever back this way again, we would definitely stay in this apartment. PERFECT!!!
The apartment was in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of Venice, but close enough to catch a water bus by. The apartment itself was cosy. The only thing we had an issue with was opening the door to the apartment as it was difficult at times. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

I have lived in Venice all my life, studied International Relations and currently working for the UN. I am managing the properties through my family - father and mother are architects that studied in Venice from 1967 and never left it. We know the city inside out and are in love with it!
