Welcome to the Pine Top Loft! A peaceful retreat for your next adventure! Surrounded by the beauty of the PA Wilds. The loft is just minutes away from numerous outdoor activities. Ride ATVs/UTVs on the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails. Fish, hike, bike, hunt or snowmobile nearby in Moshannon State Forest or Quehanna Wild Area. Canoe/kayak at Black Moshannon State Park, the Red Moshannon or West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Enjoy elk viewing right around the corner. Plan your getaway today!

The space
The Pine Top Loft is an apartment in the top of our barn. It has an open floor plan and a cabin type atmosphere. It's tucked away in the woods with a country setting.

This one bedroom, one bath space has all the amenities you'll need to enjoy your getaway. Cozy bedroom with a single over full bunk style bed, a comfortable living room area with a day bed, trundle bed and 2 futons. Full bathroom with a shower. The loft has room to accommodate 6 guests.

There are several board games, cards, puzzles and activities. There is a smart TV with a variety of streaming apps and DVDs. There is free WiFi and very good Verizon cell phone service.

The kitchen has all the essentials. Full size refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, sink, dinner-ware, pots and pans, utensils, cookware, cups, plates, bowls, salt and pepper.

The outdoor area is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Sit and talk about your adventures around the campfire, relax on the deck or prepare a delicious meal with the propane grill.

The parking area is right beside the loft entrance. Ample parking for trailers with ATVs or UTVs.

NOTICE FOR SNOW SHOE RAILS TO TRAILS RIDERS STAYING AT THE LOFT: You can ride right from the loft to the trails, our family does, and so do most of our guests. But there's about 3 miles of road thru Grassflat that isn't legalized for atvs. But we have found that if you go the speed limit, keep music down and wear helmets, no one will bother you. Several atvs and sxs machines travel the road by the loft every weekend. That is how most people are getting around the closed viaduct bridge on the SSRT.
If you want to trailer your machines the 3 miles down to Peale by the Red Moshannon River there is parking there along the dirt road to unload before the bridge. Then you just go up over the hill and you'll be at the Peale crossing on the SSRT.
The loft is about 10 miles from Gillentown Trailhead and about 4 miles from Black Bear Trailhead.
If you want to ride from the loft to the Philipsburg side of the trails, we'd be happy to provide directions.
It's about a 40 mile ride from the loft to Bloody Skillet.
There are some SSRTA maps in the loft.
