The Space

Located on a quiet side-road, this gem of a flat is very close to Covent Garden. A second-floor walk-up in a period, listed building, this really is comfort and convenience rolled into one!

The nearest tube station is Holborn and a 4 minute walk.
Central Line and Piccadilly Line in Zone 1.

The nearest supermarket is a large Sainsbury which is opposite the tube. Bloomsbury Square is stumbling distance and great for lunch in the park.
The LSE, the British Museum Oxford Street and Covent Garden are walking distance in under 10 minutes.

The flat is remarkably quiet considering it’s inner city location.

Green garden squares and lovely old Georgian buildings abound in Bloomsbury and help to soften this lovely area which is full of hustle and bustle.

Bloomsbury is an area of immense historical importance and many ancient buildings remain. The façade of Staple Inn survived the Great Fire of London. (A mnemonic for you - “In 1666, London burnt like rotten sticks.”). The four, beautiful Inns of Court offer a marvellous medieval contrast to the modern city surrounds and yes, they are open to the public.

The boho slightly scurrilous atmosphere associated with the literary Bloomsbury Group persists. Blue stocking students and corduroy clad academics mingle with pin striped lawyers.

You will find both The University of London and The British Museum in this area, and as everybody knows, there is enough art, history and culture in the British Museum to awe you and keep you coming back for years and years. The Rosetta Stone and the Egyptian mummies are probably two of the most visited and well-known artifacts, but part of the challenge is to find something to visit that you know nothing about. And take our word for it, there’s plenty of choice. Truly impressive and mind-blowing…

When you are weary of the intellectual and the antique poodle on down to the West End and shop till you drop on Oxford Street, and kick up your heals in in Soho, have a nice relaxed walk up into Covent Garden for a nice cup of tea or a spot of lunch! Piccadilly Circus…Buckingham Palace…they are all a short bus or tube ride away. This is truly one of the most delightful and pleasing areas of London.

  • This is a very conveniently located apartment, tastefully furnished, with a modern bathroom and totally quiet. We liked our stay there and would definitely consider staying there again.
    However, we recognised with some regret that the apartment apparently has suffered from some neglect. For instance, both coffee tables have damaged surface tables and both frying pans were unusable because of heavy scratches.
    Interaction with TheLondonAgent was rather efficient before we arrived, during the stay there was no interaction.

  • As per previous reviews very handy being near Holborn station or a 10minute walk to some theatres. Great range of restaurants at the doorstep along with a print shop which makes it very handy for printing online bookings made via the very fast internet. It's Kitchenette is big enough to make use of the supermarket near by to make a welcome break from eating out all of the time.

  • Jennifer was very responsive and accommodating both before and during our stay, even allowing us to check out later than expected.

    The flat was clean, quiet, safe, and otherwise as described in the listing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here on another trip to London.

  • I spent 3 days in London over the New Year holiday. This flat was perfect for my stay. Plenty big enough and in good condition. Great location. If you're a beer geek, the Princess Louise Pub is one block away (official London public house for the Samuel Smith Brewery). The Holborn tube station and a small grocery store is a few blocks away. British Museum is a few blocks away. Soho is walking distance. Close to the action but still nice and quiet.

  • Jennifer was really helpful and communicative throughout the process. We extended the stay as we liked it so much. It really felt like home, very warm and cosy. Great location close to the British Museum, Sainsbury supermarket and Holborn tube station on the Central Line. The flat is in a quiet street and very peaceful at night given the central (email hidden)e flat is neutrally decorated and was clean and tidy. Lots of thought had gone into ensuring that we had everything we needed for the stay: internet, hairdryer, towels, extra bed linen, ironing board, cleaning products...etc
    The bathroom is clean and modern and the kitchen was well equipped. The oven looked like it has never been used probably because there is a wide range of restaurants very close to the flat. I would definitely rent it again for when friends or family are in London.

  • Could not have been happier with this flat! Amazing location. Jennifer was a great host...waited for me to arrive when I texted her that my flight had been delayed. Much appreciated. The flat itself is modern, clean, and unbelievably quiet at night, which was very important for me. The bathroom was especially enjoyable...loved the rain shower head. There's a convenient Sainsbury's right around the corner for any grocery needs. Holborn tube is also right around the corner and services two lines. That said, I mostly walked the location is so central. Bed was problem sleeping here. A spacious flat. Also helpful was the alarm clock next to the bed...I'd forgotten to bring one! Overall, would not hesitate to recommend this flat to others, and would certainly stay again.

  • We are happy with this rental. It is a very good location, quiet and central at the same time. It is perfect for 2 people who can share the double bed. We found everything that we needed in the kitchen: nice Breville kettle, Bodum press for coffee, microwave, toaster, fridge, stove, washer/dryer, a reliable WIFI and a working TV. The bathroom is large enough (has shower and bath) but I really think there should be a blind in the window just in front of it. Overall the place is very good, we would rent it again and recommend it.

  • El dapartamento y la ubicación estuvieron perfectos pero la recepción fue descuidada. No encontré a nadie al tocar el timbre y cuando llamé a JB me atendió un contestador automático. Estuve una hora en la puerta bajo la lluvia y sin saber qué hacer hasta que un SMS llegó a mi teléfono celular dándome indicaciones de cómo entrar. En verdad, pasé un muy mal momento.

  • Our stay was fabulous in this one-BR flat. Perfect location within an easy scenic walk to covent garden shops/market (10mins); easy walk to soho (10mins); public transport practically at the door too. The flat was very quiet on the top floor & a great space for 2 people - kitchenette with all amenities (fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster) & even washer/dryer; lounge room; separate BR with lots of cupboard space; bathroom w shower/bath. The only issues we considered was the lack of sheeting on the very comfortable double bed & blind on the window just outside the bathroom door (which looks straight out to offices during the week). The garbage disposal was something to get used to as well - just dump it on the footpath for collection each weekday morning. But overall...perfect location, clean, tidy, very comfortable, all necessary amenities & plenty of space; and the wifi fast and reliable. I would highly recommend this place!
