My husband and two adult sons visited Arnhem for the 70th anniversary of Operation Market Garden. Tessy was warm and welcoming from her first e-mail contact and throughout our stay. Meeting her and Laurens was a pleasure and they couldn't have been more hospitable to our family. Laurens prepared us a lovely breakfast each day. He went out of his way to help us wherever he could.
The Cosy B&B is delightful with spacious rooms which are very clean and fresh. Having a whole floor for our family use was ideal.
The location was good too. A fifteen minute walk took us down to the river in Arnhem and an assortment of restaurants and bars.
We would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend this B&B to anyone.
Thank you Tessy & Laurens for everything.
I can't say enough good things about what a nice stay my family had with Tessy and her husband, Laurens. Their home is positively beautiful, and the guest rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Tessy has decorated the house in her own style with ceramic tea pots and plates. It's creative and quite lovely. On a shelf upstairs Tessy has made a little shop with items she has made for sale.
My wife and I shared a room with a double bed, and our two sons each had their own room. (One of those rooms had two beds, so five people can sleep comfortably at Tessy's.) The beds were lush and comfortable.
The stairs are steep, the same as most Dutch homes, but they are certainly managable unless you are physically disabled.
The bathroom appears to have been renovated very recently. It is sleek, pretty, and convenient. The shower provided plenty of hot water to soothe our muscles after a very long day's bicycle ride. There is a separate bathtub if you prefer to soak.
Laurens served breakfast, which included hard boiled eggs, rolls, cheese, butter, jams, juice, fruit, and great French press coffee. We were well satisfied and fortified for a day of touring.
Best of all were Tessy and Laurens themselves. Since we cycled a long way, we arrived late at night. Tessy and Laurens greeted us happily and made us feel at home immediately. They led us to a yard behind their house to securely store our bicycles.
Laurens is a great conversationalist. We enjoyed a long breakfast talking with him. His English is excellent and he was excited to share information and ideas. Also, he did some computer research for us and printed out a useful map of Arnheim. It was very kind of him.
The house is located a six minute walk from the central bus station and train station; 10 minutes from the center of town. Very convenient.
We stayed two nights, took a two-day trip to Belgium, and then returned to Tessy and Laurens for a third night. The third night we experienced a delay on our way back and arrived very late. Laurens was perfectly gracious about our arrival.
Before we left, Laurens gave us cards with expressions in Dutch to urge us to live happy lives. It was quite touching and we have the cards at home to remind us of the wonderful stay we had.
I absolutely recommend their B&B to other travelers.
We hebben een erg gezellig weekend gehad in het knusse Arnhem. De B&B was ook erg knus en gezellig. De bedden sliepen heerlijk, het ontbijt was lekker en de volgende dag weer schone handdoeken. Bedankt!
We could not have been happier during our stay with Tessy & Laurens except that we wish we were able to stay longer. They were extremely flexible with our schedule and accommodated our early departure with a phenomenal homemade breakfast. Such a charming and inspiring home.
Gorgeous decoration, good location, friendly people. Our stay was short, but perfect!
Ontzettend fijne B&B, uitermate schoon, vriendelijke ontvangst, ontbijt goed verzorgd.
We are a couple living in Arnhem and we would like to welcome you to stay in our bed and breakfast. Our house was built around 1904 and has been fully renovated over the past years.
What we like about Arnhem is the nearby parks. Within 5 minutes walking you can be in the woods while we are also very close to the city center.
What we like about running our BNB is that we get to meet you, it's a great way to meet interesting people.
