This was our second stay with Stan and Maggie and it was as lovely as the first. Stan and Maggie were welcoming and accommodating. We had a crazy schedule and they worked around our needs to make our stay easy and comfortable. The location is great, the accommodations clean and comfortable. Maggie's homemade marmalade was a special treat on this trip and one we will return for! It was delicious on the fresh baked croissants accompanied by the organic coffee we brewed each morning. Next time we are in the area we'll definitely look to stay with Stan and Maggie.
This little apartment completely lived up to our expectations. It was clean and quite comfortable. Maggie went above and beyond to provide us with our breakfast requests and great coffee, and was always available when we had questions. She even got up at 5:30am to say goodbye and make sure we didn't oversleep our early flight home. She has a good sense of humor, a lovely Irish accent, and was a wonderful hostess. The only problem she couldn't fix was the sound of the trains going by at night. They are quite loud and did wake us up. People who live there say they don't notice after a while.
Nicely appointed with new items. Convenient neighborhood with walking to dining and central to the Bay Area.
Noisy street and near railroad may bother some. Winter time trouble controlling temperature as thermometer is maintained only by contacting owner.
Stan and Maggie are terrific hosts! Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The apartment was very comfortable. The location is just a few minutes drive from SFO airport, and very accessible to local highways. Even walking distance to the local shopping area with nice restaurants, grocery store, etc. It took me a night or two to get used to the sound of the nearby commuter train, but I'm a light sleeper. The kitchen area was sufficient for having a light breakfast before heading out each morning. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment rental for one or two people.
I really loved Maggie's apartment (actually, half of the house) - it's cozy and stylish with a touch of French charm. The bed was great and comfortable, and I could feel myself at home. What I really missed is a normal cooker - there is only a microwave which I never use. So if you are coming like me for two or three weeks and want to cook an omelette for breakfast it will be a problem.
The house is situated right on the street and the railway is just behind the trees so when I arrived I was scared I won't be able to sleep because of the noise. However, I discovered that the bedroom was very quiet and I wasn't disturbed by any noise.
Maggie is a wonderful host and is always ready to help. She has spent two hours helping me to get a local cell phone sim-card on the day of my arrival and drove me to the store so that I could buy some food.
I have only good impressions of my stay with Maggie and Stan!
Again we had a wonderful stay in Maggie and Stan's apartment. They have done some redecorating to make it even more charming. And we get to look at Maggie's paintings which I always enjoy. Thanks so much for your comfortable home away from home.
Our lodging was clean and comfortable and our host welcomed us with a warm greeting, fresh fruit, croissants and coffee. We were late arriving and Stan and Maggie made it easy for us to get settled quickly and off to bed. They were responsive, respectful and friendly. We appreciated their attention to detail and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was fabulous and we will definitely return.

Life is to be lived!
Stan is a musician, originally from New York, Maggie is from England, a painter/interior designer, both friendly and easygoing. We met in San Francisco and love to travel and visit friends and family.
When we're not hopping around Europe, we like to host musical evenings here and in local venues. Several times during the year Maggie opens her studio to art lovers, we love to include our guests when possible.
