"City House" is in the Heart of Grand Center, about 60 seconds walk from the Fabulous Fox Theater, and it could all be yours for as long as you want it.

Where you stay is all about location, location, location and, man, does this one have the best location.

This beautiful and historic home lives right in the heart of Grand Center, between KDHX and Jazz at the Bistro, just around the corner from the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

Reassuringly expensive.

The space
See our other spaces at STLMINDFUL if you're wondering about discounts and the such.

I actually grew up in England and although we live out in Wildwood, about an hour away in rush-hour, we love having our 'City House', as an escape for our family of 5, especially when school's out or on the weekends. It looks and feels great over the holidays, when it's too cold out in the woods to have a family day! So instead, we take the kids to City Museum or to a show at the Fox. It's also good over the summer on a Friday/Saturday evening after a baseball or hockey game.

City House was designed by William Cromwell Slicer, built in 1874 and owned by Ellis Wainwright when he commissioned Louis Sullivan to design the Wainwright Building. Sullivan is said to have brought his apprentice Frank Lloyd Wright to City House to meet with Wainwright.

We love this place and we're pretty sure you'll love it too. A bit of thought certainly did go into the design and feel.

A place to be together with your group, for mindfulness and relaxation. For fun and togetherness.

2 people each in the three beautiful bedroom suites (1 King suite, 2 Queen suites), and the King suite also has a sofa-beds (i.e. 2 more can stay in that room).

On the 3rd floor attic room, there are three more full-over-full bunkbeds, sleeping a maximum of 4 people on each, i.e. 12 more in the attic (perfect for the kids).

2nd Floor:
1 King + 1 full sofa-sleeper in the Bedroom 1
1 queen in Bedroom 2
1 queen in Bedroom 3

3rd Floor:
3 full-over-full bunkbeds.

Book with the confidence that your stay will be even better than multiple hotel rooms, both in terms of price and quality. Your large group will thank you for finding this listing.

If we're more expensive than the other places you're looking at, it's simply because we're better. We know what we're doing and we know how to look after our guests, as our reviews show. We are acutely aware that too many hosts are not familiar with the concept of 'guest service'.

We are proud to report that we have many return groups for all our various listings. We're always looking for ways to improve, so we need your feedback.

If you're new to Airbnb, this booking will make you a fan. Rest assured that we will make your stay as comfortable as we would want it if we were the guests!

The space is designed with a late 19th Century theme, complete with all associated styles and furnishings! It is chiefly designed for adults.

If however, you are booking for a group of kids, we do require at least one adult staying as well (often a coach or teacher), aged 21 or over.

We do not (and legally cannot) supply alcohol but you can certainly bring your own if you're a group of 21+ people - just don't let it get out of hand please!

It is also great for hanging out with friends while practicing social distancing and being safe for one another. Always remember to be safe.

'City House' is designed for folks who want to have all the luxuries of a penthouse suite in a hotel room, but with a couple of other couples occupying the same space, at a fraction of the hotel rates, while living out their fascination with late 19th and early 20th century St. Louis.

It's ideal for a group of friends who'd rather not spend $200/night each on a cramped hotel room, and who'd rather hang out together in one fun space, rather than have to always go out to expensive restaurants and bars. There is an open kitchen, and you can stock it by going to the nearby grocery store, or our pre-arrival concierge service can gather stuff for you (7 days notice please).

This is a spacious place with many things to do including:

• LED Smart TV (with Roku) in each of the 3 bedrooms
• High Speed Internet
• Refrigerator with front water and ice-dispenser
• Microwave
• Regular range with oven
• Coffeepot, Toaster

Let 'Pre-Arrival Concierge Service' know in advance if you need a Pack'N'Play for a small child, and we'll make it happen.

I'm an emergency physician, internist, urgent care operator, wannabe author and repeatedly failing entrepreneur. Most of all though, I am immensely grateful for everything around me in this accidental universe. I say failing because I believe it's the only way to succeed, and also because it makes the winning even sweeter when it happens. I meditate, travel, do TaeKwonDo and listen to audiobooks. I aim to focus on catering well to my guests, just like I believe it's important to focus on my patients. I have been hosting teams for meditation and mindfulness at my suites since June 2016 and have been so fortunate to have an overwhelming demand from Day 1, with guests from around the world. They can be left to their own devices (meaning no interference from me or my people in the form of guided meditation, acupuncture, yoga and all that new age mumbo-jumbo) or they can use our services. Either way, the goal is for you and your group to have a rejuvenating and team-bonding experience, whether it's just 2 of you or 20 of you! My job is to ensure that your visit surpasses your expectations. I also love hosting guests that are new to meditation and mindfulness. I founded Downtown Urgent Care (located at 916 Olive Street, in Downtown Saint Louis) in March 2009. The mindfulness 'holosuites' that I host are part of Downtown Health & Wellness ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) and it's my passion to prevent disease, as well as help cure disease and manage trauma. I'm vegetarian and I live in the present, taking nothing for granted. I look forward to hosting you during your stay in Saint Louis.
