  • View of the historic waterfront, the IJ, in front of our house in the eastern Docklands

  • The couch has a fridge and microwave underneath. And lots of cushions to chill on!
  • We live at the end of the quay where it is very quiet
  • Enjoy a glass of wine on your bench outside and watch the (cruise)ships go by on their way to Germany and Switzerland.
  • Every morning we serve a small breakfast.
  • Jump of the famous Python bridge in front of our house
  • See the clouds reflected in the water! Fall asleep at night with the sound of rippling water in your room, and the slow, rythmic thumps, thumps of ships passing by!
  • After a tiring day, it is good to relax on our 'chill couch'
  • Take a dive in the IJ in the summer to start or better, to end the day.
  • The end of our quay
  • As we live upstairs the ground floor is all yours
  • Lots of family pics and paintings by Maike
  • The shower, basic but it does the job!
  • Our neighboorhood, the Docklands, is famous for its modern architecture
  • Our dogs Gijs and Bregje, two Border Collies, work parttime as shepherd dogs at a nearby nature reserve where they keep some 400 sheep in line. They are very nice dogs but we'll keep them apart from your floor.
  • This is our granddaughter Ronja. She and her brother Rolf stay with us 1 day per week, on Friday.
  • And this is Rolf, together with Caspar.
