We offer our attractive Spazio studio apartment in Milan, Italy for rentals from as short-term as one week to as long as two years. The Garibaldi Spazio apartment is right in the historic centre of Milan, in northern Italy.
The apartment is on the third floor (with elevator) of a characteristic late 19th-century building, in the heart of the restaurant and theatre district, near great shopping and wonderful art galleries. They are right next to one of Milan's oldest and most historic churches, San Simpliciano, which dates back to the 4th century A.D.
In 2002 our street, Corso Garibaldi, became a pedestrian precinct, so it is particularly quiet for a central city accommodation.
The Spazio apartment is about 70 square metres, is open-plan with a complete kitchen separated by a bench from the dining area, a living area and sleeping area. It has a bathroom with bath and shower and a wash machine. It also has a long balcony and French windows.
The Spazio has 24/7 broadband wireless, stereo, telephone with all national calls to landline phones included.
Weekly cleaning, utilities and wireless included in rate.
restaurants and cafe's; nearby nightlife (Corso Como and Brera); beautiful park; pedestrian zone; great food shopping; galleries and museums only a walk away.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the country, so my contact is mostly by email; my assistant Tony is available for interventions and cleaning
See above: the Corso Garibaldi/Brera and Corso Como areas are some of the most interesting in Milan, both by day and by night. We are close to several parks, enjoy pedestrian access, are in the heart of the city and yet neither overcrowded nor plagued by traffic noise.
Wonderful public transport is only a few steps away: tram, bus and underground/subway will take you anywhere in Milan; apart from the fact that our central location means that all the great things are only a walk away...
Other Things to Note
In the morning you will be greeted by wafts of fresh bread and croissants from the bakery below our building...a small but well-stocked supermarket is around the corner and there are many other fantastic and famous specialty food shops in the area
This apartment is next to what was our family home and where I used to run English courses for Italian children. We now rent the Spazio out for longer short-term stays. We are happy if people can enjoy our home and its fantastic location while treating it with respect. No prams or bikes downstairs and please be quiet on the stairs and in the public spaces of the condominium.
For stays of over one month: a contract will be signed and registered; refundable 800 euro deposit is required; guests need to be covered by insurance for personal liability in case of damage or breakages to our property or also to our neighbours' property. If guests are not covered we can arrange for this insurance.
The appartment was as described, centrally located and closed to many restaurants. It was also very quiet and peaceful. I found it was clean and even though it was a studio there was plenty of room to entertain and feel like a true home. The balcony was a fantastic little plus.
Leitha is both friendly and thorough when it comes to making sure her guests have a wonderful stay. I have done many short-term sublets in Milan and this was by far the most comfortable and clean apartment I have experienced. This happens to include a good mattress and a shower that doesn't run out of hot water after three minutes -- two simple pleasures that I've found elusive in many Milanese apartments.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Thank you : Your apartment become a real home-away-from-home for us. The location is wonderful and the apartment is comfortable, spacious and inviting. We would be very happy to stay here again.
I've spent 8 great days at Leitha's corso Garibaldi appartment in Brera. Great location, excellent shops and restaurants all around, a real treat. Leitha's assistant, Tony, was punctual and very kind. I'll come back whenever I can! Claire
Very spacious and clean apartment.
The apartment is very well situated in the heart of Brera.
Numerous books are present in order to discover Milan and the region by the best way possible.

About the Host, Leitha
I am Australian, a mother with two grown children, an Italian husband. Having lived for 25 years in Milan, we are now based in Chianti, Tuscany, in the countryside and are happy to rent out our family home and a couple of other apartments in the city to guests wishing to visit or work in Milan for a while. I love country living, having a garden, having time to write stories for children. However Milan is an exciting city with lots on offer, it's nice to visit now and then. I hope you enjoy your stay!
We have a fantastic assistant, Tony, who speaks English and will take care of you while you stay in the Garibaldi Grande, the Spazio or the Yellow apartment. However I am always on call and happy to help with inquiries etc.
In our family we can get by in quite a few languages including Portuguese, Hindi and Arabic as well as those listed! We are great travellers, although now I feel our children have taken over in that sphere.
