Aloshikha is a small NGO that provides an authentic village and farm experience in southern Bangladesh. Everyday brings new experiences with local foods and customs an your meals are organic and locally grown. Visitors are encouraged to participate in and learn about local activities such as fishing, planting, harvesting, and cooking. Or, you may just enjoy the bright green scenery around you.

The space
The location is remote, yet surprisingly accessible, making it a fun and safe place for individuals and families. Expect simple, but clean accommodations, friendly people, and the occasional loss of electricity, though a generator is available in the Guest House.

Location

Rajiher, Barisal Division, Bangladesh

Many visitors spend their time inside the Aloshikha campus, which is large enough to explore. Immediately outside the campus you can explore small village markets, temples, tea stalls, etc. or take a delightful short ride by auto rickshaw to nearby villages.

Many also choose to explore nearby attractions accessible by car, including the Tomb of Bangabandhui Sheikh Mujibur Rahman or Floating Guava Markets in Barisal. We can also arrange to package your trip with travel to the popular tourist destinations like Kuakata sea beach or the Sundarbans Mangrove Forest.
