J'ai vécu dans ce quartier pendant des années, il est vraiment très agréable et à portée de tout.
In this place the neighbors like it quiet, so I would like you to respect that ( especially from (phone number hidden)). That means no partying in the apartment.
For the respect of the environment, please don't heat with open windows. and leave the heaters on minimum when you're away.
If you smoke, it's better on the balcony for respect of the next guest. Please use the ashtray on the window. We like to leave the yard clean.
And most important : enjoy your stay !
A sample of real parisian life!
A 10min walk from Alexander Dumas station, through a real Parisian neighborhood. The building is on the right side of the street, and looks kike early 20th cent building. It was a LONG walk up - total of 6 floors, no elevator and thru a winding staircase.
A lot of restaurants around the area, as well as a good sized supermarket.
We were able to use her kitchen well as well as the washing machine.
Was not able to meet Sophie nor her caretaker. Tried to call when we were at the building trying to get in, but the phone she gave was not answering. Left a message but never had a call back.
The apartment is actually in use by the owner, I think, and there were a lot of books on the floor and the furnitures looked old already. In no way does it look like in the pictures she posted.
But we were given clean towels to use, and the bed covers were clean (I hope so).
Was not able to use the TV, no instructions, given. Able to use thw wifi after deciphering on our own the password. No thanks to the owner bor the caretaker.
A lot of night time noise came from the apartment above and besides Sophies apartment.
The place was ok since its our family's first time to Paris...but surely we woludn't come back.

Appartement fort agréable, bien situé dans un quartier vraiment sympathique. Notre hôte a été vraiment gentille et tout s'est déroulé parfaitement. Je recommande sans réserve.
We had such a great time staying with at Sophie's place! The apartment was warm and clean, with huge windows that made it feel so bright and open. Being so close to the metro was fantastic, and it was a great area to explore, with some amazing patisseries just down the street! Sophie was always available if we had any questions.
About the Host, Sophie
I am born in Paris, and I still love it so much. In paris everything is possible. There is always something to do, and new people to meet. A few metro stations away you find a new ambiance and a different population. You feel like traveling every day. I decided to live in this area because this is the real Paris for me, a melting pot with all kinds of populations, lots of artists and openminded people. The area is like a village and you're not anonymous, like often in big cites. I love this place because it is one of the more artistic in Paris, and you have a lot of nice restaurants, and good quality shops. I go to the big open grocery market every week, and I speak with my neighboors when I meet them. Even if you stay at home doing nothing, you know that it is all there waiting for you a few stations away. Now I decided to give you the opportunity to live the real Paris experience. Welcome !
