The Sea Angell is a 1.2 acre PRIVATE ISLAND (just you will be on it). The island is easy to find, located directly offshore, and has a vintage cottage dating back to the 1870’s! There is DEEP water, electricity, modern plumbing, and great cell service (hot spot availability). This property is a work in progress and perhaps a little like “glamping” right now. For a good fit, when you make inquiry, I will describe the amenities and property at the exact moment.

NOTE: ONLY for rent via Airbnb.

The space
DESCRIPTION: Vacation on your very own private island known as Center Island (“The Sea Angell”). This Island recently changed hands after being in the same family since the 1800's!

The Sea Angell is a 1.2 acre PRIVATE ISLAND (you and your guests will be the only occupants) paradise located just off-shore in the gorgeous St. Lawrence River and part of the famous 1000 islands region — 1,864 islands to be exact!

Center Island is located in a small group of private islands called Orient Group.

The island is surrounded by pristine deep water and has gorgeous 180+ degree water views with amazing views of the Seaway, the Thousand Island Bridge, Wellesley Island, sunsets, and Rock Island Light House. This private oasis is perfect for swimming, kayaking, boating, watching the sunsets and the international ships on the seaway.

The island is accessible only by boat and the boathouse greets you to the island. From the boathouse, you will cross by foot a wooden bridge, which leads to the vintage 1800’s cottage!

Yes, this is a vintage 1000 Islands cottage ... there are no granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, or AC. There IS a fully stocked kitchen with many modern gadgets (Drip Coffee Maker, ect ect).

NOTE: Although this is a private island, this island is located in an area where there are nearby inhabited islands. Please respect a quiet time after 10 p.m.

NOTE: YES, THERE IS DEEP WATER at the boathouse despite the low water right now on the river!

NOTE: YES, THERE IS electricity, modern plumbing, and cell service (and internet through your provider — bring your hot spot). Right now, there is no WIFI, cable, AC, or central heat. In the future, I will add these amenities.

NOTE: Photos will continue to change as improvements are made.

NOTE: This listing is still a little rough and is in the process of beautification. It’s a little like glamping right now. There is lots of painting that still needs to be completed. There is basic furniture still needed. There are several items that are past their prime that need to be (and will be) replaced.

NOTE: Upon booking request, I will go over what amenities are currently available, what amenities are not available, and how the property looks like at the present moment. During this beautification process, I want to make sure that you know exactly what the property looks like before booking.

NOTE: The island is only accessible by boat. It’s right off shore from Fisher’s Landing. No boat? RJ Marine in Clayton is very highly recommended and is a great way to get to the island! They are available 24/7 and are very reliable. There is a free place to park near the location and a grocery store. Just load the boat up with your supplies and leave the driving to them.

NOTE: Please bring bottled water for drinking.

Where you’ll be

Fishers Landing, New York, United States

Center Island is in the center of all the action in the beautiful Thousand Islands region. Located in the town of Fisher’s Landing, the island is midway between two popular destinations — Alexandria Bay and Clayton. It is a popular location and even has many tour boats that go right past the island as part of their tours. There is always a place to go when you are not swimming, fishing, ship watching, or kayaking on your private island.

Very experienced Airbnb Superhost who has personally hosted over 400 guests since 2016 — from all over the country and the world! In April 2021, I was honored that my Lil’ Sea Sass listing on Cape Cod was named by Business Insider as one of the 16 best Airbnbs in Massachusetts! I love traveling with my sons and we have traveled to over 20 counties. In fact, I first learned about Airbnb in 2013 when I sat next to a wonderful women on a flight from Milan to Dublin — she was on her way to Ireland to start a new job with Airbnb.
