About This Listing
A 32 m2 studio apartment in the centre of ski resort Anzere, on the 6th floor of a chalet with a lift.
This is an L-shaped studio with one high quality pull-out bed (2 pers., Pfister Flexa, 140x200 cm) and two adult-sized bunk beds (90x200 cm) with high quality mattresses, dining table with 4 chairs, stereo/DVD player and a flat screen TV, a collection of films. Kitchenette (3 hotplates, baking oven), refrigerator, microwave oven. Separate shower room and WC. Bed linen and towels are available at 25 CHF per person from the managing agency (or you can bring your own).
The studio is ideal for 2 adults but can accommodate up to two adults and two children. There is free WiFi Internet in the chalet and there is a netbook PC in the studio which guests can use if they wish.
The chalet is located right at the foot of the piste, so it is possible to ski practically up to the door. From the window one can see the Village ski lift and its entire piste. There is a private heated locker downstairs for the skiing equipment. There are two pairs of skis there (carving, 170cm and 150cm) which guests can use if they wish.
The apartment is located in the very center of the skiing village Anzère which has a cozy atmosphere of a community due to unique layout centered around a large car-free public area. Just downstairs are a nice restaurant, a bakery-cafe, a pizzeria, a painting studio (great for kids) and a sports shop. Also within immediate reach are other shops, restaurants, a large playground and Bisse de Sion (visible from the window) as well as a wellness center with saunas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
The gondola operates in the summer and is only ca. 250 m. from the chalet. It is allowed to take bikes up in the gondola and there are some incredible biking paths from the top (or middle) of the mountain down to the village, or along the Bisse. One can also rent special fat tire scooters for going down the slopes. Crans-Montana with its world famous golf courses is only a few kilometers away.
Anzere can be easily reached by car (20 min. from Sion) or by bus.
Please note that this is a non-smoking apartment.
Tourist tax is CHF 2.50 per day per adult and CHF 1.25 per child.
Interaction with Guests
The apartment is managed by an agency.
Public transit is available. Free ski bus goes around Anzere and other buses go to Sion and other destinations, such as Crans-Montana.
Other Things to Note
Free outdoor parking next to the building is available for 1 car. Also indoor parking under the building is available at extra cost.
No smoking inside the apartment. Skiing boots must be left outside the apartment or in the heated ski locker downstairs.
We had a lovely quiet stay in Anzere. The apartment is cosy and comfortable as well as having everything we required to cook.
We hired linen however there wasn't a double doona cover available for the double pullout sofa. Only singles which was a down side.
The apartment is in a great location, close to Coop supermarket, kids playground & the wellness spa which suited us being a family.
The staff at Central Sports & Friends were extremely helpful for all skiing information.
We had a lovely time in Dmitri's studio in Anzère. The studio is cosy, furnished with taste, with a lovely view on the mountain. It is located at the heart of the village, which is convenient. Kitchen corner and bathroom are small but clean and functional. The bedding is confortable. There is a nice selection of books and DVDs for the occasional foggy day. The free parking is a plus. Anzère is a great ski-resort, not too busy but with very enjoyable slopes. Local people are welcoming and friendly. The spa/swimming pool near the flat is a treat for aching muscles. We will surely be coming back!
Dmitri was a very responsive host. He responded promptly to my questions. The place is a nice flat for skiing and exploring anzere. Anzere is one of the most beautiful places I've been in the summer. You want to spend lots of time outside and if you want you can still cook a full moon in the small kitchen.
Loved the apartment. It is possible to ski right to the chalet. Bunk-beds were very comfortable and had nice huge down comforters. I was skeptical about sleeping on a pull out couch but it was very comfortable and folded up easily to create some extra space. Great area for young kids.
The kitchen was good, it had most of the items we needed to cook and prepare our meals for us and our two young boys. The boys loved watching a few of the movies on the flat screen tv. The internet was good enough and it was free! We cooked all of our meals, the supermarket was fully stocked and close by. We took public transport all the way no need to rent or hire a car for this location. This was our first airbnb location to provide extra toilet paper / cleaning supplies for our week long stay!
Our boys loved the toboggan hill just outside our door. The ski hill had a good area for beginners but then jumped to higher levels quickly.
We would would definitely stay again!
Comfortable studio for retreat in the Swiss mountains. I enjoyed daily hikes to the top and down the mountains and sometimes used the gondola. There is a close supermarket (3 min) and few restaurants. There is a wellness center in the village of Anzere, but you need to pay. Recommended to try specially after a long day of hike. I used the public transportation to visit the town of Sion (35 min of so) , is the oldest city of Switzerland with castle, churches and wall city. I enjoyed my stay ( retreat) in Anzerre.
