Empfehlenswert.
This is a really nice and spacious flat. We loved the interior and the two bedrooms. Tuscania is definetly worth a visit. Many bars, nice restaurants and some supermarkets in walking distance.
Very nice flat in the beautyful town Tuscania. Mauro was a great host! The communication was always very good and he even left some food and drinks for us which was very good as we arrived on a Sunday and all shops were closed. The bed in the one room was good, in the other room it was ok (the mattress was already pretty old). As we were traveling with a crawling baby it could have been a little more clean in general but maybe this is the special need you have when you travel with a baby.
We really enjoyed our stay and do not miss to visit the nearby lake, it is beautiful and you can eat good fish!
We loved Mauro's apartment especially as it is really convenient for parking and exploring the wonderful walled town of Tuscania. The apartment is very comfortable with nice spacious rooms and lots of interesting decorations and objects. It is a personal apartment rather than a tourist/commercial one so don't expect perfect bathroom and kitchen. But it has lots of charm and is perfect for a family of 4 to explore the town from. Mauro was very helpful with communications too.
Mauro was a great host. He made us feel at home right away in his apartment filled with history. We received many useful information about Tuscania and its vicinity. Tuscania is a small, quiet town, not overrun by tourists, with a lot of historical sites, some great restaurants, and only a short drive from the sea. I would recommend it to those who want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of more tourist destinations.
Bellissima location tranquillo sicuramente da consigliare unici difetti.. Doccia piccola e testiera del letto da sistemare
Beautiful, big flat in a small medieval town in Tuscany. Beautiful views, great bike rides. Be careful of trying to get much done on sundays, and everything closes down during siesta time, but that is to be expected. You can get wifi at the library or at a cafe which if memory serves is called San Marco. It is right past one of the arch entryways into the old city and has an awning and an outdoor seating area. Good luck and enjoy!
The very very good news is that this is a very quiet and private place in a stunningly beautiful little town. The bed was really comfortable, it was absolutely silent at night -- a rare thing in Italy -- there's a fireplace, and views of tiled roofs and sky. The restaurants and cafes are a two minute walk; the countryside, with two gorgeous churches from the XII century, is three minutes away by foot, except that it takes longer because you have to stop and stare, stunned, at the views which are ridiculously like Renaissance landscapes.
FYI, finding a wifi spot took some doing -- there's a bar under the arch as you enter the walled part of the Tuscania, but they don't advertise internet point, although it's free and the guy couldn't have been more pleasant. then it turns out the library, which is in a beautiful medieval palace, also has wifi, and is steps from Mauro's apartment. it opens at 3.
Mauro was completely accommodating, the place was clean, the pasta and sauce he left as a present delicious. My only caveat is that the place, with its long steps, might be a difficult schlepp for some people, and the shower was a tight squeeze (i'm a mid-sized American, hardly svelte but not a tub, either, and mama mia! you have to go out sideways. i've noticed that newer showers in italy are larger, possibly owing to the larger portions of pasta, ahem...) the water was hot and plentiful, however, so that's a small quibble, and really, you're there to see the wonderful Etruscan tombs and the gelato, and and...highly reccommended.
That place was amazing, Mauro was a really nice host. The village really worth a visit, quiet and beautiful.
